Clever to try to say compete and my name in the same sentence... you should be a producer on fox news.... when all most of us (myself included) have tried to be on ONE team from the beginning, and it was you that stated you were starting your own team to 'compete' against us =).
Or wait, did you mean not compete? I know how you trumpers like to just add words to sentences post facto =D.
Has my pool cooperated with the big pool or not?

He would be on time out most of the game anyway.
We'd have to keep postponing it :o)Quote: SM777This game sucks without Zenking
Quote: RomesBecause we don't have 100% pooled cooperation. Otherwise we'd be at 100%... which mission thinks, is bad??
What round is this?
Take that number, multiply by ten, and that’s what you’d be at 100% of. Assuming the game hadn’t already ended, of course.
Mission has transformed from one of the most civil, polite, sensible people on the forum to a confrontational chaos-maker. I still believe that he is an agent of the dungeon-master.
1. Wizard let him into the game after Round 4, and then immediately banned any additional late entries.
2. Mission immediately joined the small pool. (Doesn't it make sense? Would Wizard have let Mission into the game at that point without making him promise to not join the big pool?)
3. At the point that Wizard gets annoyed with OD for putting money in the game independently: Mission starts disagreeing with and criticizing OD.
4. Mission pushes Share but does so in such an over-the-top way that OD almost chooses to Steal. (Posted by OD.)
5. Mission starts fights/arguments with several people. Totally uncharacteristic of him.
Evidence that demands a verdict! Whether he pushes Share or not, I believe Mission is an agent of the Wiz, put into the game to spice it up.
Edit: I have received a PM from someone who sincerely told me that Mission is not collaborating with the Wizard. I apologize to both Mission and Wizard - I am trying to figure out what the Heck is going on in this crazy game, and I made what I thought was an obvious conclusion.
lol, didn't answer 1 of my questions or remark to one of my statmenets. Nice deflection to something that doesn't matter at all. Sure you can cooperate, until you see fit to strike the best.Quote: RSQuote: RomesSo the half point parlays were dumn*** losing games?

*** I'll call it now: In one of the next few rounds (or last round) the Wiz will offer up something like $50 prize pool or $200 for all share, and he'll make at least 1-2 captains from the "small pool." They will undoubtedly steal, when it is timely and convenient for them to screw the rest of us over, since they don't want to cooperate with the rest of us in the long run (big pool).
Hence why it's up for a vote, but my vote is to DENY anyone else entry in to the "big pool"... no ex post facto joining our group because it's more convenient for you later... STEAL STEAL STEAL and they shall get next to nothing with the big pool getting the MASS MAJORITY of the prize lot each round. #Winning
So... you're proving my point? That if everyone was in the big pool and 100% cooperating we could have 10x more money from the Wiz, right???Quote: Mission146What round is this?

LOL! Has anyone ever told you to go jump in a lake? (-;Quote: WizardOkay, I'll let you pick whoever you want as captains. However you have to bankroll the entire round 9 amount, not just chip in 50%. Agreed on all other conditions.
You have until 9 AM tomorrow to make a firm decision.
Not sure what incentive would I have to even add 50% into the pool, let alone 100%? You shouldn't look a gift wolf in the mouth. You have to give me some kind of incentive here.
When you say I have to bankroll the entire thing, that implies somthing total different than me giving you a rebate. However, I think we are talking about the same thing(notice I used a comma).
If all vote share then you add the money to the pot. I only add the money if someone steals. How much are you willing to add?

50/10 * 2 = 10
200/33 * 3 = $18.18
Sorry, brohammer, but it still makes more sense for us to share in that scenario. Unless Troopscott and I are both captains, in which case I steal regardless.
The cut off is less than double with two captains from our team, see:
50/10 * 2 = 10
100/33 * 3 = $9.9999
So, even with us controlling 2/7 votes, the incentive would have to be less than 100% of the steal value. Splitting it five ways with only one of us stealing would still be $10.
Best part is the percentages work that way no matter what numbers are used. $50/$75 would be an advantageous steal for us with two captains, but your $50/$200 isn’t even close to true.

In terms of the big pool, you should figure out the mean average cash (what each player would get if it ended right now) and accept any individual player with more than that amount who wants to join.
No, not 10x more money. I’m saying all prizes would be minimal.

Honestly I thought you were joking with all that Fox News and Trump stuff. I don't remember saying anything about the better pool competing against the bigger pool. Source? Then again, I may have dementia, according to my marijuana doctor from years ago. I remember saying I wanted the game to be convoluted, because to be honest, the game would be incredibly boring otherwise, especially for such low stakes.
Romes I'll give you $1 (next time I see you) if you stop posting in this thread for the remainder of the game, or any other threads about the game. :) :) :)

Quote: gordonm888Next cooperation game should be modeled after survivor. After each round we have a poll and vote one member out of the game. This round we would probably vote out Mission.
Well, I never!

In fairness, some people started stuff by openly suggesting that the side poolers and independents be screwed over deliberately in this round.
If you guys want your parlay, do your parlay. I imagine RS’ bar play will have an equally large (or larger) player advantage AND a much higher probability of winning. More money for the charity of my choice, probably Three Square.

Apology accepted. It’s not big deal. I’m just going to vote steal if we’re both captains, now. You join TroopScott in that department. I’ll answer your five questions very briefly now that you know I’m not in Wizard’s pocket:
1. I was replacing a departing player.
2. I received no instructions re: joining pools.
3. Yes.
4. Oops. (He could have PM’ed me.)
5. It’s all part of the game. I just want to win.
Quote: WizardLet the record show that in round 9 the prize pool will be $25, except if everyone shares it will be $50. Axel and I have made a deal where if there is at least one steal, Axel will provide the $25, otherwise I provide the $50. It was also important to him that I state that I am giving him a $5, off the record, bonus if everyone shares. Axel will be provide the team leaders under the gentlemen's agreement he won't stock the list with members of his Vegas crew.
Will OD kick it up? After catching my breath in Round 8, I'm making fresh popcorn for Round 9...

Axel,
I’ve already submitted our team’s vote to share next round, whatever team that is. If Wizard wants the vote to contain the team number, I’ll send it again after that is known.

Wow, it'll only cost you $50 to find out 7 of Axel's sockpuppets? Not a bad price. :)

I think you will avoid:
- all side poolers and ??? to remove incentive to steal.
- all moderators to mitigate collusion with wizard.
- Nathan. No particular reason.

I think likely captians are Joeman, PokerGrinder, Miplet. These seem like guys likely to execute reliably with no potential conflicting interests.
pooling or not will not go into my decision making, however, I think its more likely most of the people would be poolers. Actually, I can think of one person who may be in a side pool.Quote: prozemaI think you will avoid:

You are correct, Nathan will not be chosen. My reason is... I have no clue what she is thinking and someone on her team may be able to trick or influence her.
PokerGrinder, you say? LOL LOL LOL, well maybe. My problem with picking him is he might just steal so he can have a good laugh.

If you pick a mod, I would guess face.

I do Thank Yous in most posts in the political thread that are civil, whether I agree with them or not.

I doubt you can do it without it costing you stupid money. So, I'm game for such a side wager. I'm thinking maybe $25 even money, to be settled by Paypal. If we agree the wager and I win, those winnings would be to me personally and I would not be pooling them.Quote: AxelWolfCare to make a side bet with me if I can get all to share next round?
Get back to me by PM to see if we can iron out the details. I haven't thought it through fully, yet. I figure you are proposing to stuff the ballot with a clever selection of team leaders?
Looking forward to seeing this unfold.

I think you are making a mistake, OD. Of course he will be 'stuffing the ballot box with a clever selection of team leaders'. It won't be difficult. I will be one of them I am sure and my word is worth more than you can afford! I also assume he can start by naming himself a team leader, and there are a few who have made it clear they will share.
I am interested in what makes you think he will pick a leader who will go against him and sleazily vote steal?

I really haven't given it much thought. But maybe the chance of winning back some of my 'lost' $110 off a lovable rogue like Foxy is just too sweet an offer to resist.
