Has anybody here seen any of the movies up for best picture?
I havent seen any.
Know about Selma because its history but dont know the quality of the movie
Know Sniper just because of ads
Know theory just because of ads and familiar with the real life charachter.

The rest, dont have the foggiest idea what they are about
When somebody doesn't believe me, I could care less. Some get totally bent out of shape when not believed. Weird. I believe very little on all forums

You have to believe the odds will drop on Selma once Rev Al states his case on why the Academy is racist and they then realize they have to vote for it being the good liberals they are.

I've only seen one of the best picture nominees. I am not a big fan of mental health movies but apparently Hollywood is.

We try and see all the best picture nominees although I've gotten behind and have not seen Selma, Imitation Game, and Boyhood.

Each of the others I saw had their flaws for best picture(imho) so Boyhood seems like the winner even having not seen it:
Best Picture: Boyhood
Best Actress: Julianne Moore - Still Alice
Best Supporting Actor: JK Simmons - Whiplash
Best Director: Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu - Birdman

I'll need to get back on the others. Whiplash was great, btw: if you get the chance, try and see it.
Lack of prior planning on your part doesn't constitute an emergency on my part.

I give some of the locks in this post.

I've seen Boyhood (highly recommended) and the Imitation Game (recommended).
