Well, Babs honey, glad to see you are finally investing my alimony check in a winning venture. Instead of keno.

Me, keno, and bingo are oil, water, and poo-spritzer. Your alimony goes towards gigolos.

Ive only read the first dozen pages but I'll have US$100 on the YES if there's still some NO action waiting to be matched?

Only other condition I would have for my bet is that the bet is off if the attempt doesn't take place. Happy to work out payment logistics after the bet has been resolved.

If I was in Vegas, I'd dump my year's bankroll on the Leafs winning the Cup. You heard it here first.

See you at the Winter Classic

FACE, come on, man. Don't get your hopes up. The Leafs haven't hit their mid-year tank.

Wizard, I'm now YES on Mission for 200, same terms, assuming you haven't accepted a bet off the public record that filled your dance card.

Sure. We absolutely positively 100% have $100 more in action, for $200 total.

When I 1st saw Varmenti post , I was thinking which members should get a piece of that.
Now that there is a chance(I figure 2pm or later would work for me) I may witness and videotape, my suggestion is those who attend from this board should get a piece of Varmenti's generous offer. After all , its just a drop in the bucket considering all that he has won at Bac.

Well, I know that me and the Wizard jumped on it as soon as gr8varmenti made his offer. A few others followed.

Hopefully you'll get in on it too, so at least we can be on the same side for once...haha ;)

That's a good bet. When Mission made the comment about eating 40 McNuggets while driving and then saying afterward, "I'm still hungry. Why? I don't understand," then I knew he was money in the bank! That's a Michael Jordan-like taunt. ;)

It's probably too much trouble to do on this forum, but maybe we can ask Ahigh to broadcast it on his channel.

Maybe Aaron could at least lay out what all it involves.

A delayed final 10 minutes to be played on you-tube would be second best.

I'm loving the scientific methodology being applied to your training regimen.

I'm wondering about the sit-ups [edit]. The pro's don't ever seem to be all that much in shape, and tight muscles across the stomach area may not be desirable?

It can't be impossible to down 100 nuggets in 1 hour. I eat the 20 pieces with large fries and can still chow down some more. Of course with a diet coke to wash it down with :)

dj I am right there with you. If I wasn't a poor bastard I would be all over the yes. They have that deal where you get 20 nuggets, 2 medium fries and 2 drinks and I can do that with no problems at all. Of course with the diet coke as well.

I didn't speak up at the time because I'm not a Vegas resident and I felt the odds of me being a witness was slim to none. I was just a distant observer.
Now that a date has been set, Dec 21 , I'm thrilled its gonna be on a date that I will be in Vegas. Still dicey on whether I can attend due to when this is scheduled, arriving 1131am on a Delta flight. I doubt Varmenti will pay off but its fun to tease him, he only has himself to blame, he put it out there. Hey Varmenti, I want in due to being possible witness. lol

OMG. Maybe I can witness this. I can also videotape if you are alright with it. I'll be in Vegas Dec 21. I may not make lunch but if you schedule this later in the day, I'll be there. I got a flight out of Tampa that morning, connecting in Atlanta arriving Delta flight 1181 Vegas 11:31 am .
Hope to be a witness.

You've got yourself a deal, provided Wizard can make mid-afternoon, call it 3:00.

I don't know to what extent I can go into detail, but I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank Wizard for making this whole thing possible. My wife will also be in Vegas with me, although, I don't think she actually plans to bear witness to this event. Her exact words, as I recall, were, "Why do I want to come sand watch you puke nuggets everywhere?"

I don't know how that could affect betting, but my wife votes, "No Confidence." On the other hand, she'd probably take the, "No," on me tying my shoes correctly, given only one attempt!

I'm perfectly fine with it being recorded, not only will I win, my hair will still look great when I'm done!

I think I'll settle for another 100 of the Wizard's action and let y'all chase varmenti's phantom non-bet charity thingy. Wizard, I'm now YES on Mission for 200, same terms, assuming you haven't accepted a bet off the public record that filled your dance card. Mission, I hope you've left yourself a day for jet lag before you do this....

As a matter of fact, I have. I plan to arrive in Vegas on Thursday, 12/19. I'll be eating pretty light on Friday, certainly no plans to starve myself. Breakfast on Saturday will consist of a salad largely of lettuce to prepare the stomach for expansion.

I was still hungry!

Update:

Okay, so I ate the aforementioned pizza, and then I had two more slices later on in the evening. The additional slices came after walking a total of about six miles helping someone campaign for Trustee, as well as another M&M Cookie. I proceeded to do 200 sit-ups after that.

Interestingly, I've not used the restroom yesterday or today. I even drank two cups of Prince of Wales tea along with one cup of Pomegranate White tea before bed last night, nothing doing. My stomach is virtually unaffected by all of this, but my weight is not. I hopped on the scale at 199 pounds this morning, a four-pound swing in one day, so I'm going to push the actual eating training to once every 10-14 days, rather than weekly. I don't think I can burn the weight that weekly training will cause me to gain.

I ate some Strawberry Greek Yogurt for breakfast to try to get the old excretory system fired up, we'll see how that goes. I probably won't eat much else today, don't feel any fuller than usual, but I'd like to drop three pounds by tomorrow. Maybe a six-inch Veggie sub from Subway, try to get some roughage in there.

It would take more sit-ups than that to tighten these abs to any meaningful degree!

That Asian kid what does the hotdog eating championship is straight jacked. He works out like a mad man and credits his muscle mass, specifically his abs, with giving him the ability to eat as he does.

I think that if you were to down some serious water today, like 8-10 glasses minimum, you would see a big difference; your body is retaining the huge amount of sodium you took in and swelling up short-term. The water will dilute your intake and allow your body to resume normal function, also allowing for the bolus of all that protein to soften.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

The restroom issue has been addressed since I last posted in this thread, LOL!!!

I am going to need to put down the water today, though. To be blunt, I plan on pissing out all of this crap, as well.

Mission, if it was almost any other weekend, I'd make the trip to Vegas to see this go down (or up, depending on how you handle the nuggets). But, unfortunately, my family Christmas gathering is going to make it impossible. Good luck!

If anyone wants to have a meet-up, let's think of somewhere good to have lunch after the event.

Oh this is great... I knew there was a reason I had not booked my flights yet. Was planning on flying into Vegas from Calgary on Dec 17 and taking the red eye out Dec 20 getting into Detroit on Dec 21 at 6 am Seems I might just have to take the red eye out Dec 21 and get in Dec 22

WIZ if there is any of your $500 still available I will take a BLACK CHIP of it....oh and I want to place a GREEN CHIP rider on that for MISSION MAN

Wow, this is totally cool, be able meet some of the gamblers on this board in person. . Thanks for accommodating my schedule. Was considering staying at the Palms due to a 2 nites comped offer and will be in Vegas 4 nites, now going straight to downtown after getting off the plane. Hmm, where shall I stay this trip. Maybe the new Downtown Grand, have to check out the reviews once they open. Maybe 1st 2 nites downtown and final 2 nites Palms for free. A lot of options. I'm in Vegas Nov 2 for 5 nites, 3 nites at 4 queens 2 nites comped and 2 nites D 1 nite comped. Maybe talk to a downtown casino host after a few days of gambling to see what they can do for me for 21Dec trip.

I can't go into any specifics right now, but I'll be hitting a ton of different casinos over the five days, but I won't be at most of them for very long. I don't know if it makes a difference for you, but I'll also be staying at The D.

I think the trick to winning this whole bet is to eat the nuggets COLD. Order them let them cool down completely then eat them. The oil will no longer escape with each bite

Peeling off the breading and eating all the meat first and the leftover breading last might help also.... less time for most of the oil sitting inside upsetting the stomach

Wrong answer, go to McDonalds and order just a 4 pk and let them sit for 15 minutes box open then try to eat one without spitting it out.

Mission I don't want to try to think there is a trick to eating the 100 bite size (whatever you wanna call them) but just for safety, Please don't just dig in when you get them, they are extremely hot and will burn your pallet thus making your endeavor very unpleasant.

I agree with you to have a small drink of water to prepare your mouth and digestive tract with enough liquid before attempting such a feat.

I also agree with having many sips of liquid in between as one can only picture a 2oz chicken x 100 nuggets = 12 1/2 Pounds sitting in your stomach with no liquid. I think the real challenge is going to the bathroom and having a Dry run of " the runs"

Go on youtube and search How sausages are made and you will have a more clearer picture. I do not recommend these videos as Motivational tools to assist in your challenge.

I know you've mentioned No forfeiting and wanting to just go till you "PUKE" but please in preparation, Have a Container of water waiting by your side next to the Toilet so you can Quench your thirst during and also mouth wash for after you're done.

Oh and just in case it's the other way around, be sure to Grab a copy of the Latest USA TODAY as it being such a "Thick" Newspaper, you will have plenty to read during your "After-affect party"

Mission146 is the main man and I'm videotaping, hey Varmenti, how about upping this to 1200. If 1k is your limit, that's cool. Its still a very generous offer. Mission146 may be the main man in this thread but if you come through, you are THE MAN.
Its just a forum. Nothing here to get obsessed about.

Mission I don't want to try to think there is a trick to eating the 100 bite size (whatever you wanna call them) but just for safety, Please don't just dig in when you get them, they are extremely hot and will burn your pallet

So Mission will be eating his McNuggets off a 'pallet'??? LOL!

Anyway, I love how you casually come back to this thread and ignore your $1,000 bet.

is that all you worry about Beethoven9th, is the money.

Have you no consideration for the health and safety in this Challenge that Mission is going up against.

My wife worked as an RNA (Registered Nursing Assistant) as referred today as (LPN) Licensed Practical Nurse for approx 10 years.
She is telling me, not asking me to "The rate that you have to eat the food is vastly Exceeds the the room that the stomach can possibly hold, let alone digest. example: Place the Bag of 100 Mcnuggets in the palm of your hand to give you a visual picture.

Now picture Digesting that in a Two hour period" But then I told her you The time limit is 1hr, then ten minutes digesting time.

I don't want to repeat what she just told me. but I am willing to make you an offer you can not refuse.

I'm sure you know of the Offer I put on the table to satisfy 10 members, but actually its not me that recommended it, it was my wife who offered me to say this.

My offer to you MISSION146 is:
I will be at your side at the D when you do this and My Starting offer is $50.00 Cash to not put yourself at risk and Bow Down from this Challenge.

Wait, My wife says to make it a hundred, But I'm gonna be playing baccarat while in Vegas, so here is my offer to you.
In knowing that each of my Baccarat sessions are $200.00 in Profit, My offer to you is ONE WINNING BACCARAT SESSION Totaling $200.00 Cash Offer to you if you choose to Bow Down and Forfeit this Incredibly Dangerous Challenge.

Or go on and continue the challenge to satisfy 10 Forum Members.

This offer is VALID the day of the Challenge giving you 1hr and 10 minutes before you order those 100 what'cha'ma'call its.

Add this to the $1000 bet, has he sent the money
to the Wiz yet? He doesn't seem to want to discuss
it, I don't know why.

Here's the bet:

Quote:

"HOWEVER: I am willing to Put up a full days Baccarat winnings of $1000.00 Divided up between 10 Members showing interest in this challenge. That's right. 10 Members will receive $100.00 each and risk nothing if MISSION completes the challenge."

That is not a bet, this is simply a no risk offer to "TEN Members SHOWING THE MOST INTEREST" in this Challenge. Has nothing to do with first come first serve.

There are a few thousand Total members interested in the Gaming world and possibly a few hundred interested in this challenge. what I look for and will be awarding the Prize money to is the TEN Most Interested. Keep in mind I read Every Post in "Relation to the thread" and will be monitoring those that show the most interest in this Challenge and not just about Rambling to score top poster.

So this is pay Mission $200 to back out, so he saves $1000 (and face) if he makes it?

Varmenti, just so you know, if you do pay me $100, it'll all be going to Vancouver General's Hematology department, for research into blood cancers and similar diseases. It's a good cause.

So, let me get this straight, because this is reminding me of Black Sox gambling tricks;

Varmenti bet the NO 3-1 odds.
Varmenti had takers.
Varmenti withdrew that bet, spammed the thread with videos and pleas to Mission to call it off.
Varmenti offered to pay 10 members 100 each if Mission DOES do it, promising $1000.
Varmenti has more than 10 takers, including Mission himself.
Varmenti is now offering Mission escalating amounts if he DOESN'T do it, currently $200, essentially trying to buy back his $1000 for that.
Varmenti has returned to imploring Mission not to do it, trying to psych him out again.

And ANYBODY on this forum is still speaking to him about this? We've still got more than 2 months to go, what next?
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

Wife answering " Highly recommend putting the funds into

2) High cholesterol Medication.

She actually finds it hard to believe you said what you said in knowing the risk involved for Mission.

No, it's about integrity. For example, take terapined. He and I agree on absolutely NOTHING when it comes to politics, yet if we made a bet, it wouldn't even occur to me to question his integrity about honoring it. The same goes for many of the other regulars here (e.g., thecesspit & others).

You, on the other hand? No comment.

Uh oh, He just made a huge gigantic change to his offer and tried to slip it in. No way Varmenti, too many are watching you on this board.

Here's the original quote from Varmenti. "HOWEVER: I am willing to Put up a full days Baccarat winnings of $1000.00 Divided up between 10 Members showing interest in this challenge. That's right. 10 Members will receive $100.00 each and risk nothing if MISSION completes the challenge."

Please point out to me this key word in the original quote "MOST". Its not there. Hmm, how about this. If the original 10 agree to let you out of your original offer, then you can change the offer and include the word "Most", then its all good. If not, we will find out DEC 21 if you are a man of your word.

He's feeling the heat with my list of 10 members. He just threw out that offer a while ago. Now there is a list of 10 expecting 100 each if mission146 is successful, he's feeling the heat because we are nailing down the specifics.
Its just a forum. Nothing here to get obsessed about.

Varmenti - I'm not going to put on a show to appear to have the most interest. I don't need the $100 that badly! I did want some action on the YES bet, and took your offer, as it was a no-brainer.

You know, that's a good idea. If Mission ends up winning the challenge, I will donate part of varmenti's money to the WoO/WoV (since I've obviously made lots of use of this site!) and also to some charities.

Not necessarily. If Mission fails Varmenti has to pay $0. I believe he will honor that requirement.

Varmenti is best quoted, since every post changes the stakes and conditions. He even calls his thingy a bet and not a bet in the same post. Preserved for prosperity.

This bet was proposed by Mission to Wizard. Wizard offered more action than Mission wanted, so some of us came in with Mission. Terms were discussed and agreed upon.

I'm more than unimpressed with anyone who comes into a structured prop bet like this later, as varmenti has (18-19 PAGES later), and tries to influence the outcome so severely. The meddling is not welcome.
