Hi Wizard. On your Blackjack Survey table you have nothing reported for heat at Rampart. But a few of us on the BJA forum have experienced very sweaty conditions there, including myself. One BJA member was even flyered by Rampart!

It refers to the practice some casinos have of sending out fliers to other casinos with information about suspected APs.

How much brain damage did the stroke cause? You keep asking questions, I'm sure you had to have known or heard about before. Everyone knows what flyered is by now. I'm just surprised you have been tripped by simple general knowledge.

No problem. Perhaps my next question to him will be "What color is a black jack". LOL

By the way, do players really WANT blackjacks?
Sure, when dealt the player wins, but when dealt the dealer wins with a blackjack too so at all times a blackjack ends deliberation which means a new deal will start sooner and those accumulated "sooners" means there will be more hands per hour thus exposing more bankroll to the house edge

Many casinos subscribe to a central system that serves as a clearing house for such flyers. It's not unknown for APs to either subscribe to or infiltrate the system.

A player can “subscribe” to an internal system that the casinos use to see correspondence between casinos as it relates to them?

Serious?

Casino security isn't too bright

I have had security guards show me a picture of myself which I immediately know where it was taken and say "is this you".

Also, some casinos try to prosecute AP's for trespassing which has happened to me. Best thing in the way of exposing what they knew about me. It's called discovery. The casino in question literally handed over 20 pages of "secret" documentation that told me their methods of detection, that I was listed in Biometrica, that they had flyered me at certain locales and their contacts with the police (including that the police could find no evidence of illegality on my part)

I don't know the details, and if I did I wouldn't post them, but yes, players can access the networks. As with anything, a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link.

Ok...understood, buts that’s circumventing procedure. I’m thinking that the industry typically does not “inform” the player he’s been “flyered” unless it’s someone speaking off the cuff or someone technically violating casino security rules and or regulations or the player has access to an insider.

Unless it’s in the best interest of the casinos to inform the player “yes, we sent your picture out”.

My instinct would say best to leave the player in the dark about such stuff. Let him think it but not know it. Paranoia of unknown is a strong weapon for the casino. Like a tell tale heart.

I agree

My experience however has been the opposite

I have literally been told stuff like "your career is over now, Bud. Everyone is gonna know what you do after we are done" type comments

It's sadly laughable. My career was hardly ever affected. Coronavirus shutdown notwithstanding

Most casinos at least in Nevada uses facial recognition. I know of an individual who was playing craps and was then detained until police arrived. Turns out mistaken identity but the point is that the technology is also tied into law enforcement wanted list as well as for trespassing or identifying AP.

I’ll throw out the small casinos, but the major properties like the Wynn, Sands , MGM, Harrahs, and probably Stations will most likely have it. I can confirm the Peppermill in Reno uses it.

the overzealous heat at Rampart?

I can certainly understand the Heat at the rampart being overzealous. The NBA season was cancelled, they come to a casino (long flight from Miami) to get some gambling in, and it’s closed. Would’ve been a nice team building exercise.

There is a specific reason for the heat at Rampart and it has to do with an incident that happened there towards the end of last year. I posted about it on the other forum.
I tell you it’s wonderful to be here, man. I don’t give a damn who wins or loses. It’s just wonderful to be here with you people. https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/gambling/betting-systems/33908-the-adventures-of-mdawg/

The times I’ve been in Rampart...always felt like it was a geriatric center. More walkers, canes and oxygen machines than I ever recall elsewhere. Not sure if Sun City goes over there in one fell swoop, but the clientele there is definitely much older.

Much of Summerlin is affluent and skews older, population wise. It follows the casinos there would appeal to the local demographics.

At the beginning of my BR a couple of years ago I was able to play a few multi-hour sessions without heat with max bet 2x75.
After a few of those I got backed off by an asian PB male mid 30s who has always been there every time I went back to check out the situation.
Next time I went back to play he recognized me right away (he scrolled through his phone so pretty sure he takes pictures of APs) and trespassed me on sight. Security made a big fuss with a very old security manager (looked around 70) threatening to call the police if I didn't show ID. I said "fine, call the police, no problem" and he started swearing to the air, so I left and was followed all the way to my car where they took the plate and probably flyered me.

Well @billryan, my “true nature” as you so eloquently put it is that I’m a seasoned professional who is quite obviously well above your pay grade. All I was trying to do is to provide vital information for any blackjack player that would consider playing at Rampart Casino. I wanted it put on the wizardofvegas Blackjack Survey table so that any level of blackjack player would be aware of a very serious issue at that casino (that’s my “true nature” @billryan ; I was trying to help, you moron!). I thought that the information I provided would be very much appreciated by fellow blackjack players. But what I got instead was a bunch of giddy little children (like @darkoz , for example) with no appreciation whatsoever of the value of information that I was offering.

And what about you, @beachbumbabs ? Are you so focused on just the words that I used that you can’t see the context in which I used them? Then you go and suspend me for three days, giving me no opportunity to defend what I said or how and why I said it. I wasn’t even able to private message you; which proves to me that you’re nothing more than a coward (and disguised in righteous moral compass clothing, no less!).

Speaking of your righteous moral compass @beachbumbabs , you said in your suspension post to me that “the board is PG”. I assume that means that you permit minors to be members of your site, which is specifically related to gambling. That means you’re breaking the law! I think that’s just a teensy little bit more serious than my choice of words, wouldn’t you say? So want me to drop a few more f-bombs? Here goes: fuck! fuck! fuck! fuck! Go ahead, suspend me! Because I can guarantee you what my next manoeuvre will be is to report your little “PG” board to the authorities. I’m sure that the local police’s vice squad of wherever it is you operate out of would be very interested in your little online PG gaming board that permits minors to be members.

CHECKMATE, @beachbumbabs !!
