I have noticed that the wizard has totally agreed with Mkl several time lately. This started me thinking about the fact the Wiz probably feels some constraints on what he can say on this forum because of his position. An alter ego might allow him to be a little more candid about his true feelings. Mkl = Michael?????
Be careful when you follow the masses, the M is sometimes silent.

Yes, I thought that sort of behavior could open the Wizard to some criticism. Way back in early September, I posted some comments (starting here and continuing for the rest of that page) that were moderately supportive of mkl. I think maybe I was the first one to say something favorable about him, which might be why he seems to cut me a little slack. But the rest of the members of the forum pounced on me with a vengeance for my taking such a ridiculous position. And now the Wizard is making supportive comments? Ridiculous.

If that were true, why would he agree with his own opinion? I was always told self praise is no praise, I think the Wizard is much smarter than that!

Hey! Now that you mention it, I've never seen Mkl and the Wiz together....

Seriously, do you really think the Wiz has nothing better to do than to masquerade behind a secret identity, giving annonymous opinions, and then agreeing with himself? Get real!

For the record, I too was/am supportive of MKL. I really don't know why people are bashing him.

Good point! Followup question...Is Jerry Logan masquerading as "Rob Singer?"

Of course, if I am really mkl, nobody will believe it if I denied it, so I won't bother. However, I think a careful study of his style of writing and mine will show significant differences. To be honest with you, mkl is a better writer than I am. I will admit we've agreed with a lot lately. However, we've disagreed lots of times too. For example, on Social Security and the Mormon religion. We also disagree about "vote wasting" for third party candidates in the thread on the election results.

We're both outspoken skeptics and atheists, so it should be no surprise we agree about a lot of things. I think our main difference is there are lots of topics I don't know much about, and will refrain from getting involved. Mkl seems to know a thing or two about everything.

It'd be even cooler if Mkl was also Jerry Logan. Or, that they were actually twins separated at birth.

66 minutes since you posted this and JerryLogan hasn't said anything snide in response...he must be taking a nap...the clock is ticking...

The OP for this thread is definitely on to something. Of course, I could not possibly be the mild-mannered English teacher that I claim to be--that is merely my secret identity. I can't disclose who I really am, but I can tell you that I am 127 years old, and that I fought on both sides in the Korean War, invented the Ziploc bag, set the Reichstag fire, and won twenty-five gold medals at the Tokyo Olympics. My secret vulnerability is sauteed cauliflower.

And no, I'm not going to tell you where my secret lair is.

I would have strangled him a long time ago if that were the case. What would YOU do if you found out that you had an evil twin?

No, I'm MKL. Or is it Spartacus? I get confused.

The Truth is that MKl is really Elvis. I saw him eating a peanut butter and banana sandwich at Du Par's downtown last week.

Of course you would have. Anyone who exposes someone else for their weakness, phoniness, and haplessness would want nothing less.

You do realize that the preceding sentence made no grammatical sense...well, come to think of it, you probably don't. How sad. How girly of you.
