Restaurants (I plan on going the French route).
Shows - Maybe a Cirque Du Solei
Casino-hopping - time to visit places offstrip
Sights - can't do long drives, already worn out.
Any local hidden gems?

Yeah, we really enjoyed Zarkana.
As far as casino hopping...remind us what you like in casinos, games your prefer, etc.
Quote: geoffIf you end up downtown and like sushi check out the sushi place at the Plaza. They do 50% off rolls and it's some of the best I've ever had.
I've never understood that sort of pricing. 50% off what?
There's a sushi place near me that has "happy hour" prices all day long.
To the OP, if you have a car and are up for a drive -- and like barbecued meat -- head up Rancho about 20-25 minutes (from mid-Strip) to John Mull's Meats and Road Kill Grill. It's a bit on the pricey side since DDD covered it, but the brisket and cole slaw were both very good. The hot link wasn't all that hot, though, maybe try the pulled pork instead.
Oh, and also regarding "going the French route", get a table outside on the terrace at Mon Ami Gabi in the Paris overlooking the Bellagio fountains. There are a few times of year when the Vegas weather is perfect, and right now is one of them.

Thanks for the rec. I already saw Zarkana and had a blast before in one of their East Coast debuts. I'm thinking of Le Reve.

Would you prefer Mom Ami Gabi or the Eiffle Tower Restaurant?
Quote: AsswhoopermcdaddyHi everyone, I plan on being in Las Vegas this week. I was wondering if anyone had any must do's / see's while I'm in town.

Is this your first trip?

I've been to Vegas before for family, work, and my 21st. It keeps changing every time I get there, so I guess it keeps me coming back.
I'd be curious if there is something that is like a deep local secret spot to have a great time food, shopping, sight seeing etc.

I've been to both. Eiffel is fancier and you get treated like royalty. Mon Ami has great food, but a more casual environment. If weather is good for sitting outside I vote Mon Ami.

+1 exactly.

I haven't seen it yet, but I have heard quite a few good things.

Le Reve is a great show. Loads of acrobatics and the high diving is simply awesome! Also, the theater at Wynn is really nice!
I would definitely recommend it!

If such a place existed, would the people who know about it disclose its location and existence here, on a public message board?

I haven't been to the Eiffel restaurant, but you can eat inside a restaurant anytime. The whole point of the terrace at Mon Ami Gabi during springtime in Las Vegas is to sit outside and have another of whatever you're drinking after dinner while watching a few cycles of the Bellagio fountains from across the street.
However.
My son and I did this last time we were there in December: World Class Driving WCD
Their shop is next to the freeway, about a mile and half from the strip. We drove a Ferrari, Lambo, Jag and Audi R8 thru the desert. Pretty cool.
Then we went about 6 clocks away and shot Machine Guns at Range 702 Range 702
I recommend you shoot 5.56 rounds and also some 7.62 rounds, BIG difference.
That was cool....
