Your headline was a bit misleading... there ARE casinos in Arkansas, they just don't feature traditional table games...

However, they have switched over to the iTables, which are also found in full-service casinos. The slots are no longer "Lock and Roll" so those feel more like real slot machines. And they have the electronic versions of craps and roulette...

So Arkansas is just rejecting expanding their gaming options. That's probably a good thing. To compete with Tunica, they have to offer better rules and better bets. As I posted in a blog, I played Ultimate Texas Hold Em at Southland because they had the .9% house edge Trips bet, and subsequently hit a royal flush!

Seems to be a very weird thing to have. I really just hope that things would work out well in the future for this one.
