I just took a trip through southern Indiana and visited the Hollywood and Grand Victoria. Hollywood was nothing special, but the Grand Victoria had pretty good rules. When I was there they had $5 blackjack tables (H17, DAS, split and re-split aces) and $5 craps tables with 25x odds! The blackjack was dealt pretty deep into the shoe which also makes counting a good proposition there.

I ended up down $200 for the day, but it was a good atmosphere and the dealers were friendly. After playing through a number of shoes at $5 a hand the deck finally got hot and I started making some big bets when the running count hit 16+. I won about half my bets at $200. I was even going into the last hand of the shoe where I bet $400 and lost (ouch). I decided to take advantage of 25x craps and took my $120 odds in back of a $5 pass line bet after a 5 was rolled. 5 came out on the next roll and I made back half my losses before I left.

Cool. Good gambling.

Interesting they let you count. That was where the Indiana Supreme Court case arose where they said IN casinos could bar card counters. Not sure what the status of their enforcement is now.

God, I've lost a ton there. Nice store, though.

This place is great. My first craps session was here. The dice got to me and I held them for 25 minutes. I hit 6 pts and when I finally sevened out this guy says that was 10000 to 1 what you just did. I said well I dont know about that but it was a good roll. After reading on this site I guess it is about 8200 to 1. The wife and I were moved up to diamond status here back in 06. No w this is a shock because we are red chippers. The only thing we could figure is she hit a str flush on 4-card poker and was able to play for 4 hrs. afterword. Well for the next 6 mos. we went down there almost every weekend armed with a 95 to 145 dollar coupon for her.We would stay overnight here on fridays and do the seafood buffet. Both the hotel and buffet were comped. Alas the 6 mos. were over and we never did reach diamond again but man it was great while it lasted. Now I havent been down there in a while but they used to have a bank of 10 times 1 dollar slot machines and it wasnt often we didnt see someone hit for 2,46 or even 8 grand on those machines each time we were there it seemed. BTW we would drive right past Hollywood(another 30 smiles lol) to get to grand Vic. because of friendlier patrons and dealers.
