Have now read the article in yesterday's paper. Very bizarre because there's still be cannibalization, looks like a blocking move. Might have a chance but the additional overhead reduces available profits for all.

A mix of investment banks, private equity, oversea investments and directly/indirectly the general public. Debt products and structuring are the favorite go to route for the casino industry.

They're all ready at it and ground hasn't even been broken.

Massachusetts regulators are talking about requiring casinos to reward patrons for voluntarily setting limits for time and money spent at machines. The programs are in place in some countries but this would be the first attempt in the U.S. The programs are called play management, limit setting or pre commitment.

Gotta create jobs for all the cronies.

Those limits I am sure are going to be diluted and watered down. It would be good implementation but that would be interesting to see how this all would pan out under execution.

Those are not cronies! Around these parts they are called consultants. LOL.

From the looks of things MA is really putting on many levels of restrictions on its up and coming gaming industry. If you have the discipline and self control these restrictions doesn't really matter much. Yet 95% of the patrons that visit a casino are uncontrollable and greedy souls.

The mayors of Somerville, Boston and Revere are a bunch of low hanging fruit sour grapes. Especially Revere. Wynn getting the Boston license is one of the best things for the casino industry for MA. Along with MGM in Springfield. This is going to put MA in a strong position for becoming the premier destination of the Northeast. If Mohegan Sun wins in a few years time after the casino opens things would crumble since that entity is poorly run and over leveraged.

Look what Wynn single handedly did here for Vegas. Not to forget Macau even though that gambling mecca has spiraled down somewhat due to the crackdown.

Really looking forward to 2018 and the Boston Mayor is an idiot. Like a typical idiot patron visiting the casino doubling down when the losses keep getting bigger. Already $1.25 million wasted on some crap lawsuit.
