recent trip to Laughlin for me once again trying to play craps at the Trop.

This spring a pit boss gave me crap about my throw since i was setting and
hitting my number. He was very rude then and maybe is just a very rude person.

But he is a reflection of the casino.

The other day i bought in for $200 and was reaching for the dice and he went nuts
again.... i was hoping this spring was just a bad hair day for him... but no the guy is
really a jerk.

MY wife and i wont play anything in there anymore, and it appears we are not the
only ones since the entire table game area was empty.

Is it the whole Laughlin area or is it just that specific casino that you went to? There are a few casinos situated in that area of NV.

For me the most unfriendly casino is the Casino de Montreal. Given that it is government owned and there is no competition around the area, a total shit hole. Plus all that piggy backing adds to the annoyance.

You should set your dice until they back you off the table. Then you can tell them off and take your action elsewhere.

I'm saying the Bellagio. I couldn't even scout the room without a security escort. I didn't even have the time to check out the tables. I was escorted while looking at one of their service kiosks. When asksed I said I was looking for the exit.

Poor customer service --- major problem, perhaps more so than players losing money. (Sadly) people expect to lose (hope to win) but we all expect pleasant, professional service. We will walk rather quickly if we feel we are being handled poorly. That property, Dicesitter, needs a shake up.

You can find that same type of suits in just about any casino, the better ones will get rid of them as fast as they can. Most of the time they come from some sweat joint, where that kind of treatment of their players is to be expected. The way you can get to these clowns is with a customer service card. Do yourself a favor and ask for one right there at the table, if they won't give you one go over to the players club, most likely you can find a few of them there.

When you get back home pass out a few of them to your gambling buddies and have them also send in complains on the same guy. It's worth it for you to even put the stamps on the cards to send them back to the casino. Maybe the next time you go there you won't have to put up with the same jerk, but if it is nothing more then a sweat joint, you may get him a raise!

There are a few casinos around Vegas that are nothing but sweat joints, one of them has a suit that is famous for his outlandish behavior to all DI's or even someone just setting the dice. Some of these jerks think of themselves as coolers on the craps tables. They will do anything they can think of to try to get the shooter to seven out if someone gets on a roll. There was one of these guy on one of the casinos on Boulder Hwy, that would run to the tables anytime he saw a DI on the table.

He would then tell the boxman to take a break so he could sit there and do his thing, sometimes it was to the point of being ridiculous as to what this guy would do. Just about everybody hated him, even all the dealers hated when he came to the table. The crowning touch came one morning when I walk in there and was told that he was fired! Maybe to many players complained about him!

Casinos are in the entertainment business, they are there to entertain you while your losing you're money.
After all most players go there for entrainment. Just ask anybody from out-of-town what they are going to do in Vegas and they will tell you that they have around $600 to lose and they are going to take in some shows!

Every time you run into one of these clown they are running off players that would have stayed in their casino and gave them a shot at that $600 that they are going to lose. Any casino manager that allows their employees to act like that, should go back to business school and learn a thing or two about running a business.
Note, all my post start with this is just my opinion...! You do good brada ..! superrick Winning comes from knowledge and skill when your betting and not reading fiction http://procraps4u2.myfanforum.org/index.php ...

Tropicana Laughlin used to be my main casino until they closed their poker room. I still stayed there as long as they sent me comps but then they decided to take out almost all of their legitimate BJ games and decent VP. Now their pit is 40% 6-5 BJ, 40% carny games, 10% craps/roulette, and they have only two or three 3-2 BJ games. I never had much of a problem with any of their employees but it's a shame what they have done to the casino.

Now I stay at the Aquarius and play poker at the Belle or Riverside.

Here's a partial answer...because it was only true part of the time. I used to come out for the LVH's PGP tournaments, twice a year for 3-4 years (can't recall exactly how many; the last was in 2004). I enjoyed the LVH for a number of years before I started doing that, and came out other times as well. But, for some reason, during those tournaments, the dealers on the main floor PGP's were all surly and hateful. I finally asked out of frustration, and the answer, IIRC, had to do with what jerks the type of players who came in for those tournaments were. Cheap, argumentative, surly themselves, and the dealers had gotten to the point where they just expected and pre-emptively attacked the players at their table figuring they were all the same. They drove many otherwise enjoyable people away from the game during the days I stayed, and ended up losing me as a customer. They were going through some heavy-duty labor struggles at the same time that probably contributed heavily to the negative attitude. But if I'm not enjoying my time at the table because of angry dealers or whining players, I get up. And finally give up, if a casino tolerates it to the point where it becomes the overriding atmosphere, as it did there. It may be fine now; all things must pass. But I wouldn't know.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

Babs, ever read Cat Hulbert's book on poker? She's your
age and used to be a famous BJ player. She covers
extensively the lengths men will go to at the tables to
intimidate women players. You'd like this book. She was
also on Munchkins radio show in April.

To hijack this thread for a second. If you ever come out to Ohio or PA, let me know. I would love to see some dice control in action. We have 100x odds in Cleveland. :D
