I used to watch tennis, especially during the 'majors', but it seems to have faded into obscurity for me. I was trying to think of any American women tennis players other than the Williams sisters. So- I offer 5 WizardofVegas bonus points for anyone who can name the top caucasian American female tennis player without looking it up. I offer 2 WizardofVegas bonus points for anyone who can name the top male American player. (He is rated 2 spots ahead of Andy Roddick). I will give one hint. The female player has a casino type name.

The male player is Mardy Fish. I know that without looking it up because he has been around for a while, and it was big news when he passed Roddick.
I don't know the female player, but I will guess Bethanie Mattek-Sands (thanks for the hint!)
American tennis is at an absolute low right now. Pretty soon we will have no players in either the Men's or Women's Top Ten.

Bingo Teddy! As a 'regular' sports fan who watches a little bit of everything, I was stunned to see that outside of the Williams sisters we had ZERO women in the top 40. It seems to me that Mardy Fish has been around forever, and just all of a sudden has skyrocketed. By the way, does Mens or Womens tennis have drug testing?
