To make this a gambling related theme, what are the chances that there are more than 2 disc golf players on here?

Great game. I was introduced to it 10 years ago, but only played a dozen times or so. However, six months ago a friend of mine got me into it. While I am not a card carrying member of PDGA, I am smitten enough with the game to have bought a dozen discs so far. I also have 3 Glo discs and by far the most fun we are having is going out at 9:00 PM and getting in a round in the dark with black lights. The course has two holes in open fields, one hole across a pond, and the rest are in woods. The pond hole you have to throw completely from one side of the pond to the opposite side, and seeing the glow reflection in the pond is pretty cool. Throwing the disc in the pond? Not so cool.

I'm down to shooting 64 most of the time, with a personal low of 60. And the best part is NO GREENS FEES.

I bet you evens there's more than two. (discflicker and the Wizard are disc golfers).

DOH! I knew that too from a previous thread.

It seems like there could be a high concentration here, since I don't think the sport is that wide spread.

I used to play in college, but haven't played in years now. We played where the worst score on a hole had to carry the cooler to the next hole. That was usually me.

I only play if the course has windmills and loops.

And it's a struggle to shoot anywhere near par.

I play, but much like regular golf, I stink at it.

ME ME ME!!!!

But I stink, too.

I played Ultimate frisbee since 1975 and even made the game-winning catch in finals of the 1992 world-championshps in Japan. I started DG in 2001 and got as deep into it as humanly possible. I went on the road for almost 6 years selling discs and traveling from course to course. Here are some photos of my journies traveling the nation in my RV sellling discs with my cats...

Disc golf is the greatest sport in the world, and the fastest growing sport as well. If you never played disc golf, I highly recomment that you start RIGHT NOW. Its never too late. Disc golf is great for seniors well being.

Vegas has some nice courses, and of course, the list of them will be growing soon, but please try to stay away from the course in downtown Vegas... (if its still there), the vagrants have overtaken it over.. I think those same dudes that hang around the Plaza casino by day sleep there by night and use the poleholes as toilets.

Right now I'm trying to establish the first disc golf course in India. I donated about $6,000 worth of plastic to TheThrowShop and over the next year we'll be selling them and turning the profits over the Chanai Ultimate Frisbee team to use specifically for promoting disc sports in India with the goal of establishing disc golf.

Since I dont want to abuse this forum by asking for donations, I will direct anyone interested in helping me with this effort via direct private message, or please start looking at posts we'ill be creating starting next week at

discgolfersr.us

That's a really cool forum run by Terry Calhoun. Also, please check out the instructional videos by Mark Ellis available via discraft.com. These are alll local SE Michiganders just like me.

Check out the disc I invented for the games... here is the pending patent for it!

Yo, Wizard... did you get a chance to try out that comet yet? Need any more discs? I still have over 1,000 of 'em!

The difference between zero and the smallest possible number? It doesn't matter; once you cross that edge, it might as well be the difference between zero and 1. The difference between infinity and reality? They are mutually exclusive.
