I don't consider myself as the one to decide, but my vote is to oppose it. I think it would set a bad example if I put my stamp of approval on chasing losses on credit. I say just keep your promise and pay up.

When is an acceptable date to bring the full $100?
Quote: OnceDearHi DJATC,
The results are in. 28 sets of draws over 14 days. She lost.
She's now pleading for a double or quits option, on a wager that would probably give her better than 50/50 odds.Quote: NathanWow! I can't believe I LOST! I had such a strong feeling that one of those numbers would come up within two weeks! I came close to winning multiple times!
What lottery game has a 50/50 chance of hitting a draw in florida?
Quote: NathanWhen is an acceptable date to bring the full $100?
I think the deadline should be the date of the 2019 Spring Fling, which has not been set yet. I'd suggest paying as early as you can, just to put and end to the speculation.
Lots of single white men will be there, by the way. That will describe almost everyone who usually goes.

What lottery game has a 50/50 chance of hitting a draw in florida?
Troopscott, No game. It was a prop bet based on one of a big set of selections being a winner in one of 28 pairs of draws.
You need to revisit what Nathan was basing her wager on. She came up with 25 sets of pick3 and pick4 numbers BOXED and she forecast that she would have at least one winning set of numbers at some time in the next two weeks. Because it's twice daily draws, that is 28 pick3 draws and 28 pick4 draws. Before I knew how boxed selections worked, I estimated that she had a 35% probability of success. If we take the trouble to calculate the probabilities taking into account boxed numbers, then the chances of success rise considerably. E.g, selecting pick 3 result 123 would win if 123,132,213,231,312 or 213 are drawn.
I really cannot be bothered calculating the correct odds but I expect probability of success is much greater than 50%
Link to the original prop bet
If my finger and toe counting is right that she had 73 combinations in pick 3 and 178 combinations in pick 4 then her probability of hitting at least once in 28 pick 3 draws and 28 pick 4 draws is 92.7585%. So that’s a pretty tough beat for Nathan.Quote: OnceDearTroopscott, No game. It was a prop bet based on one of a big set of selections being a winner in one of 28 pairs of draws.

Thanks for that. I just did take the trouble to work it out and I concur exactly with your calculations.
She was damned unlucky not to get at least one winning set with 88% chance getting at least one pick3 winner and 39.5% of at least one pick4 set.
If she thinks she should get even money odds on a wager ( double or quits ) where she is 92% likely to win, she's the most ambitious *AP on the forum.
*AP was not my first choice, but the word I wanted to use might have been construed as an insult.

If nothing else, we can at least point to this when it comes to discrediting Nathan's lottery picks. I think it is fair to say that Nathan, as well-meaning as she might be, is very likely not to have any special insight whatsoever into the lottery.

Exactly. It's like you eat some cookies, everyone knows you ate the cookies. The cookies are bad, you have cookie breath and you go to Aldi for a refund. Aldi says no, have some more bad cookies. Is Roulette a good deviation away from Slots? I ditched my Slot App and decided to practice with other games other than Slots and decided to get a Roulette App instead. I started with $5,000 free chips and got it all the way up to $300,000 free chips but picking wrong Numbers, wrong sections, wrong colors that didn't win, put me down to like $10,000. Still twice the money I started with but considerably less than $300,000. I always thought Roulette seemed daunting but the app made it seem so easy and fun. Should I try Roulette for real in a real world Casino?

Maybe with fewer numbers Nathan's unique predictive capabilities shall be enough to overcome the house edge.

Roulette has a lower house advantage than slots. Slots have a lower house advantage than lotto. With that said, it will cost you less per bet to play roulette than slots, and slots will cost you less than lotto.
I'm sure someone can name a corner case where that's not true, but most of the time it is.
All of these games will eventually drain your wallet playing as intended, so maybe the more nuanced question is which one buys more entertainment for the money you'll lose... Unfortunately that is subjective.
I had a lot of fun drinking bloody Mary's in downtown Vegas playing a quarter roulette table years ago on some random weekday morning with friends and strangers. The waitress was coming fast and everyone was high fiving... I have no idea how much I drank, how long I played, or exactly what it cost... If I were to guess, it was a couple of hours and about $100... That was fun and a memory I treasure.
The biggest difference is how fast games are played.
Lottery is the slowest game... It takes 4 hours to days to lose your money.
Roulette is faster than lotto but slower than slots.
Hope this helps.

RS, you could facilitate an exactly equivalent wager without having to get everyone else to confirm their own insanity.
All that needs to happen is that both you and Nathan send $100 to Wizard as escrow. If one of her numbers comes up, she gets her $100 back (and your hundred covers her existing obligation) and if none of them do, you get your $100 back (but she'd still owe 100. That overcomes Wizard's objection to encouraging members to chase losses on credit.
You pair could both rinse repeat on a martingale basis until one of you gets bored or bankrupt.

Ironically, I lost BIG money on the Roulette App when 0 showed up and I was so focused on playing 1-36, Even, Odd, 1-18, 19-36, Section 1, Section 2, Section 3, Black, Red, 2:1(3 times) that I let 0 fall by the wayside. Oops. That's where the big drop from $300,000 to only $10,000 happened. I won big money by putting $5,000 on 0 after getting a Bonus from the app. I now try to add 0 every single turn.
If i see a wheel where none of those numbers have come up in 15 or so spins I buy in for 100 on a $5 table
6 spins $1 each 30 bucks total. if still not hit I go 3 spins $2 each. ($30 total $60) then a spin $3 each ($75 total) and last spin $5 each and walk away
I know the wheel has no memory just what i do when I see it. Yes i have lost my $100 a few times. Yes i have hit on the $5 probably an equal number of times but usually somewhere in the middle I will hit then walk away.

Different Strokes Theme Song
I heard,"Along comes two, they've got nothing but their genes."
Also misheard,"Along comes two, they've got nothing but their dreams."
Correct. "Along comes two, they've got nothing but their jeans."
My misheard lyric makes sense because I thought they were saying Arnold and Willis were so poor they only had their genes that they were born with. I actually think my misheard lyric makes MORE sense than the actual lyric. :) Also the misheard lyric about nothing but their dreams makes sense because once again, poor kids. ;)
Good Times Theme Song
I heard, "Hanging in a trolley."
Correct: "Hanging and a jiving,"
Correct: "Hanging in a chow line."
Correct: "Hanging in a jury."
(All three lines have been rumored to be ALL be correct, strangely. It doesn't help the female singer belts this line out in a very high pitched voice, ;) :/
My misheard lyric makes sense because a trolley is like a bus and it makes sense that people would be riding around in it as they go about their day. :)

People told me they were getting sick of the Lottery Numbers posts, so I stopped talking about the Lottery so much. I even pointed out I did things people asked me to do and I said,"What more do you want from me?" The response was something like,"If this isn't blatant Trolling, I don't know what is." What a Catch 22. Damned if I do, damned if I don't.
In the Cooperation Game I originally wanted to say Share but my Teammates then wanted me to say Steal so I went ahead and said Steal. So when my new Team wanted me to say Share I went with Share which is what I wanted to do from the beginning. I flip flopped between Share and Steal based on what my Team wanted me to do.
I have found the constant harassment of me from certain Members old and it got old a long time ago. I sit here smiling politely when I really want to tell them off so bad and cuss them out so badly, but the only thing stopping me from doing so is the Keep It PG Rule. I even told a Member who was harassing me that the only reason I didn't rip him a new one is because of the PG Rule and he needed to back off of me and he STILL kept harassing me. No, just no. With the Poker Grinder thing, I briefly thought of fake laughing and once again smiling politely, saying something like,"LMAO! :D You're SO FUNNY Poker Grinder! :D While I was absolutely, completely LIVIDLY SEETHING, that was one of the worst, offensive, insulting things I have ever had seen said about me. Really? Most annoying part of the website? Even after I bent over backwards doing what people asked me to do?) But I decided to go with the truth and tell him he really insulted me.
A couple things:
1)They didn't say that they wanted you to have your own thread for your thoughts. You were posting insane amounts of nonsense everywhere and starting a new thread about nothing daily so people (myself included) thought if management was insistent on having you continue your membership here we should at least corral all the "content" (I use that word VERY loosely) into one place.
2) What does the cooperation game have to do with anything???
3)"While I was absolutely, completely LIVIDLY SEETHING, that was one of the worst, offensive, insulting things I have ever had seen said about me. Really? Most annoying part of the website?"
This was one of the worst, offensive, insulting things ever said about you on here? In the last two months, I believe in this exact thread someone called you special needs and a moron. (no suspension btw) I have read multiple times on this forum where you were called much worse than annoying lol. To be perfectly honest I was joking about thinking that I would be suspended because honestly I didn't say anything that should warrant a suspension. I took the suspension because it is Mike's house but honestly if you hadn't message him (we all know you did) and complained then nothing would have come of my comments. It was a pretty weak suspension as far as I'm concerned.
Just some food for thought.

You calling me "The most annoying part of this website," was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I really did find it insulting. Quote: NathanSo,one of my local Casinos gave me this tip. Free play is given based on how many points you have. So, at this Casino, I have roughly 400 points. The dollars equivalent is $2,000 so I get free play. I get $25 in free play every week. You cannot use the points for free play until you have 500 points or the equivalent of $3,000! Eek! Oh well that forces me not to use those points because I presume that using the points for free play would forfeit any new free play. In my other local Casino, 100 points is usable for free play. I had 460 points at this other Casino recently until I caved and used 400 points. This local Casino pointed out I had no free play coming, so why not use the points as free play? I do wonder if I'll still get SOMETHING since I still have 60 points left($300)
Interesting post Nathan, but it raises lots of confusion in my addled brain.
You get $25 free play every week at that first casino where you have 400 points???? Really!?!?But then you had 460 points at another casino of which you somehow used 400 so you don't get ANY free play? How does 60 points have value of $300? Can you spend that $300? What on?
Please humor me ( as a limey that doesn't know much about Florida comps ) Is this another parable or are you saying that you are currently, literally, entitled to $25 free play every week at that first casino? Or maybe you need to amass another 100 points. How hard can that be?
How much coin in do you have to give them to get that $25 of free play every week Do you really give them so much coin in, to get free play every week? How does that dollar equivalent work? Are the 400 points worth $2,000 of free play or are the 400 points what you received for $2,000 of coin in?
It's just that $25 free play EVERY WEEK strikes me as the sort of comp rate that needs an awful lot of ongoing coin in not just a once achieved points level of 400.
Maybe some specifics about the casino or its scheme, please.
I can't quite understand how you went from qualifying to not qualifying. Would you help me with that, please?
Thanks.

Easy. Remember I had mentioned that I got $250 dollars a while ago on Lotus Flower on just .75 cents. That enabled me to put in a lot of coin in. In Hialeah Casino I get $25 a week due to getting good hits on low bets. For example, I played .20 cents on a game and got over $100 due to hitting the Minor and having the top symbol show up. Gulfstream is the one where I had 460 in points and recently caved and used it. In Gulfstream and Hialeah, one point is $5.
