LOL! Roger I like you man! I came in at 15.4 I think that's average and average sucks. :)
I got 24.

I score highly on questions about details and pattern spotting. Which is just as well.

Perhaps it is a personality test ?
Quote: EvenBobI got a 14, does it mean I'm mentally ill? I thought
so..
No.
But your failure to see the details in the instructions kinda proves that you aren't in any case.
Autism isn't a mental illness, it's a mental disorder or disability. Much like being born with one arm isn't a physical illness. It's a disability.
16.4 is the average, 32+ is a correlation to people with Autism Spectrum disorders. (Correlation does not equal causation, and here 32+ doesn't mean you have Autism).
Course, "NO" is what you thought.

Yeah? Tell that to my sisters kid who walks around
with a transister plugged into his ear all the time,
and rocks constantly back and forth and can't talk.
He's autistic. Looks like a little more than a disability
to me, he can't do anything for himself.
Chances are (based on 80%) that either RogerKint or myself has some form of Autism/Asperger's.
Quote: Mission146I also scored a 33.

Never mind, read it wrong. 80% of people on the autism spectrum score 33 or higher, not 80% that score 33 or higher are on the spectrum.

I would do, if that will help you. What do you think a severe mental disability is?
Quote: thecesspitI would do, if that will help you. What do you think a severe mental disability is?
Won't help me in the least. He has more than a
'severe disability', he's practically a basket case.
When my sisters gone he'll require expensive
24/7 care. His quality of life hovers around zero.

Not arguing that. But you did ask me to tell him, so I was offering to do so. Sounds like he wouldn't care if I did or not, though, so I have no idea why you wanted me to tell him something he had no hope of comprehending. Rather odd behaviour, Bob. Any other people mentally disabled you'd like me to talk too?
But whatever, still makes him mentally disabled. Not Mentally Ill. There is a difference. You can care to agree or not. I'll let you tell the next mentally ill person you see your decision.
Obviously I can function just fine. And my roommate, the same friend that said I was autistic, is very scatterbrained herself. She does a bunch of weird things, very ADHD like..

I keep forgetting your Canadian. The way I phrased it
makes it rhetorical and requires no action on your part.
Quote: SwitchI scored 10 ... I hope that a below-average score doesn't indicate anything too severe :-)
I got a 14. It means we know how long to talk, we
know when people are getting bored, we enjoy social
situations without monopolizing the conversation,
we don't memorize license plates or phone numbers,
we can tell how a person is feeling by observing them.
In other words, we have social skills because we aren't totally
absorbed in ourselves.
Quote: ybotI´ve got a 30 with 1 point on agree and desagree, I donot what it means.
The test gave you the answer key at the end. Some questions you had to strongly/slightly agree to score the point for it; others you had to strongly/slightly disagree to get a point for that question. And it listed which question numbers needed an agree, and which question numbers needed a disagree.

I, for one, have always found that to be an admirable trait.

If you truly had Aspergers you'd avoid the phone like the plague in the first place! You'd text.

The rule of double-negatives would suggest that you do know.
I just have an inclination to numbers, with a declination towards petty chitchat. I do have trouble meeting new people, because most of the time I'm not too interested in what others have to say. Quite frankly, I don't see anything wrong with that, since most people don't have anything important to say.
I do feel very uncomfortable when making eye contact. I think I come across as cold when I'm dealing.

Dude, think about what you just said. Why is what you
have to say more important than what they have to say?
Has there been a study we're not aware of?

I haven't heard back from my son, but one of my friends scored a 40 while another hit 51!
His ear is safe.
Many of my answers would have been the opposite when I was younger. The other elders on the forum can confirm but my experience is that as you age you want more routine in your life and less suprises.

37? Three more points and you could probably

Now excuse, me but I prefer things to people, so let me back to my calculator and license plates.

Same for me. Although I dislike how the test is scored - choosing "definitely" or "slightly" doesn't change your score at all!

Yeah, I don't like that either. It's definitely a weak methodology for a test like this. Most use a geometric weighting (0 for neutral, 2 for slight, 8 for definite is somewhat common). But, I'd hate to fixate on the scoring mechanism for the test about this particular subject;-)

Off topic, but is your screen name advocating someone for President of the United States? Who is RDW? It's been bugging me ever since I joined this forum.
