I read one time it is illegal for an attorney to hold congressional office?

Not here [attempts to re-direct flak] but it is the first link I came across;http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread500208/pg1

The Missing 13th Amendment :

<By chance, they discovered the library's oldest authentic copy of the Constitution of the United States (printed in 1825). Both men were stunned to see this document included a 13th Amendment that no longer appears on current copies of the Constitution. Moreover, after studying the Amendment's language and historical context, they realized the principle intent of this "missing" 13th Amendment was to prohibit lawyers from serving in government. So began a seven year, nationwide search for the truth surrounding the most bizarre Constitutional puzzle in American history -- the unlawful removal of a ratified Amendment from the Constitution of the United States.>

There seem to be fewer and fewer attorneys geting into state and federal politics.

More and more educators and real estate salesmen.

Considering how many lawyers were among the Founders that seems implausible.

It doesn't look like the 13th amendment was ratified? It would certainly be a hoot though. Something needs to change. The meme of the "devil you know" versus the one you don't has brought us where we are.

Better than barring lawyers, they should have banned copying and pasting.

Why?

Contributors write their own bills of course and the jerks just vote on them.

Educators educate though the possibility exist that they are mis informing students on crucial aspects of life.

Real estate salemen and women are interested in preserving your property rights. If that is a true priority for them as they conduct their political careers then you might consider embracing them for it.
