I won't make anyone look it up. Dow played Wally on the sitcom Leave it to Beaver. For those who remember, who was your favorite character on the show? Who said Eddie Haskell? :-)
The show's song actually had words to it. The title was "The Toy Parade".
This was a staple at our parties in college. Used to make frozen 'daiquiris' with it. Tasty, packs a punch, turns everyone's lips/mouth/tongue blue... the perfect trifecta!
I came across a Samsung Galaxy tab (the one with an old connector, looks like an Ipod) and bought a generic charger at Best Buy because I couldn't find it anywhere, and it won't charge my tablet at all. At best I can barely hold off losing juice on it when it's plugged in. My first charge worked fine, but now it's junk. I read on some forums and they said you need to use the official charger, or at least one that provides the same amount of amps.
I had a battery problem with my Google Nexus 7 which sucks up batteries faster then a $200 hooker but at least it charges decent. If I have it charging overnight I can wake up to a near or full charge.
I'm starting to hate tablets, they are so finicky, when all I need them to do is display some websites while I play Fallout or GTA V.
All batteries will eventually stop taking a charge. Maybe that isn't the issue with this one, or maybe it is, but if a device has a sealed battery that can't be swapped out then eventually it will get like that. (Reason #23 not to pay for an Apple iPhone fashion statement - they are designed to kill themselve$$$.)Quote: djatcI'm not too happy about this situation:

If your Google Nexus 7 eats all the juice for lunch, I think it is probably due to a bunch of crapware that is auto-loading in the background and constantly connecting and accessing stuff, or worse, constantly trying to. That, or the screen is on constantly, but I'm not even sure the latter alone would suck enough to be that bad. They are known for having extraordinarily LONG battery life, much longer than cell phones or small portable PCs; that is a major advantage, and I think probably THE major reason for having one of them at all. I have one (actually two tablets one being a Nexus 7) mine is a 'clean' version without much pre-installed crapware to start with, most of what was there was either uninstalled or disabled from loading itself by me, and it lasts for days on a charge.
My suggestion is go to Settings>Battery to see a graphic & numeric display of exactly what pig(s) is/are doing all that sucking. And kill it or them. Or try to modify their individual settings from the apps' menus if you're feeling more kindly than DrawingDead does toward some of them that like to sneak in to eat your cyber lunch without an invitation.

That was exactly my experience with my tablet. Crapware I never use auto-loading, that is; removed everything I could beyond a basic browser and GPS/map function. Added to that, I change my tablet to airplane mode when I'm not actively using it, which prevents a bunch of background BS from happening (pinging, updates of unused crapware that won't uninstall, garbage alerts, etc.). I've gone from 1/2 day charge (new) to 4 days charge (2 years later).

I have no crapware running as I uninstalled everything I could, and also checked the battery settings. Only shows device idle, screen, and Android OS. I close all programs when I'm done, and turn off GPS, and app notifications.
This happens to both my google and samsung. I'm starting to think I'm just cursed with tablets. I've left the battery in the Samsung for over 12 hours now, and went from 9% to 8%. This was with the tablet off. The google tablet just sucks up battery when I play Myvegas on it. I understand it's pretty resource heavy but I can barely get 2 hours on it without it dying. Even having it charged while I play it just eats up juice.
I would like to get the official charger the samsung came with but I went to like 3 stores that carry electronics and none of them had a charger for it. When I finally got to Best Buy they had some generic one that should at least charge, but it only delays the inevitable 0%. I even bought an Anker charging thing that is supposed to maximize charging, and now this.
What I don't get is how can electronic companies get away with selling this crap like bad chargers. I never had this problem on my laptop or any other electronic device when I bought a knock off.
The samsung held a decent, not great charge when I first bought the charger, now it won't even charge, it just delays the battery drain.

This is totally FWIW, because I only know what I'm telling you, not anything about what's good for the tablet/phone.
My Samsung Note 3 came with a 2.0A charger, which puts a full charge on it in less than an hour. It also can use a standard 700mA charger (which came with the spare battery kit I ordered from Samsung, so I have some confidence I'm not damaging the phone), it just takes longer. So, extrapolating without knowing consequences, it seems possible that what you have is an underamperage charger for the tablet, and you might look in that direction. If you can find the right power plug on one end of a cord and a USB male plug on the other, (ideally you already do), you can order the 2.0A wall plug on the Samsung website for not much money.
Just a thought.
EDIT: Here is what the 2.0A wall charger looks like, with a cord you probably can't use (but detachable) for less than $10 on ebay. it's model samsung ep-ta10jwe. These guys have a bunch of different Samsung charger options, cheap as well. model ep-ta20jwe seems to come with a mini-usb to USB cord and 2.1A charger.
The tablet is Model SM-530NU.
The charger is Model ETA-U90JWE.
Note to self: never, ever, be tempted to get anything called "MyVegas."

I might need a 2a charger but I'm hours away from civilization..... went on vacation to a remote area. This is why I hate traveling away from the big city. I don't know how anyone can stand stores closing and not having something avaliable 24/7.....
The samsung uses a 30 pin charger so I'm gonna try newegg or amazon since it might be a "specialized" charger at this point.
I haven't tried myvegas on the samsung, it'll eat too much battery for me to do anything anyway.
FWIW, I just now ordered this juice-box type thingy as a tertiary backup, to the secondary contingency, to the first plan B, all with the job of patiently standing in line behind my multiplicity of spare batteries for my gizmos equipped with swappable ones (which the tablet of course is not) because I'm obsessive about not going dark in some places & circumstances where that can cost me money. Even though I don't expect to use it. From what you've said, I 'spect you might be more likely to actually use it (on the Nexus tab with the standard micro-usb port):Quote: djatcI might need a 2a charger but I'm hours away from civilization..... went on vacation to a remote area. [Highlighted emphasis added.] That's a boatload of juice. Like about eight standard batteries for most devices.Quote: AppyGeek.comOver on Amazon, Poweradd is currently offering their Pilot X7 external battery pack for $31.99. However, you can get $7 off if you use the promo code B9RHC8QP at checkout. Effectively making it $24.99 This battery pack has a capacity of 20,000mAh, which is more than enough to charge up your smartphones a few times. As well as a few tablets. It also has two USB ports, so you can charge multiple devices at the same time. Always handy for those that have a smartphone and tablet. It uses four LED lights to show you how much juice it has left, it's not as great as having a display to show you, but better than nothing.
...<SNIP>...
It doesn't specifically say, but think the 7 buck discount code is probably good until something like midnight. At least that's how these things usually go, in my experience.

We went on a cruise 2 weeks ago. I had our phones in a water proof case while we went snorkeling. Cases failed and I ruined 2 phones. It was so weird not having phones for 4 days until we got back. Only good thing was we were both due for upgrades anyways so it worked out. I ruined 2 s3 phones and now we have s5. I was too cheap to pay the extra for the s6.

It's sicker when multipliers are involved.

whats more plausible? 30 in a row, 18 yo, or bricking 100 play when starting with a pair?

As far as a redraw I don't know the odds or if I seen it, It certainly seems as if it's happened before. I really dislike 100 play.

In the first part of sleep, the brain slows down to heal itself while the rest of the body still remains somewhat active. In the second part of sleep, the roles are reversed.
Sleepwalking is usually in the first part of sleep, when the brain hasn't slowed the usual amount. Conversely, we dream a couple of hours before we get up, when the rest of the body is less able to oblige our dreamy thoughts.
I think that one sleeps to the degree one lives.

I'm sorry. I don't think she did or said anything wrong. It might have been worded a little better, that's all.
Is she secretly glad for the disruption? I don't think so. Other evidence or statements would have to indicate that to me.
Edit: I listened to it again. It's unfortunate she worded it like she did. And the two guys behind her look like bodyguards. They're intimidating and uncalled for. What was their purpose? It all looks pretty pro black. I'm leaning toward a Freudian slip.
