They are a rip. 10x the price of regular liquid just because they are in plastic pods

I hate them. They always used to be my "dream job", but when i applied to them they make you take an online test. They showed some "examples" of the test beforehand and they looked like mathy-like questions i could handle, so I figure might as well take it.
The actual test, nope, all the questions on logic i suck at the most. Almost every damn question had some type of figure set and you had to determine which was the "special" one. I have always sucked at those. Two times I took the ACT,and the one time I got a 36 in Math, they didn't put the "How many triangles are there?" question on the test. I got lucky then.
Anyway, I failed the P & G test spectacularly, and they immediately terminated my application and requested that I didn't bother to reapply for 12 months. If they ever went bankrupt, I'd actually be happy about it.

P&G is just a front for a Satan worshiping cult. Be glad you didn't make their cut.
Quote: billryanSo instead of enjoying a move you can fanthom, you decide the entire contest is a fraud, with the judges aiding one contestant. Do you think the other contestants are also in on it or did the judges conspire with only one of them to defraud the public?
I read on a site that last year when he won one of the tricks he had Tara sign a card. Apparently she signed 4 cards back stage. Was she in on it, or does he somehow trick her into signing then like acting like they are practicing. Either way he is crazy good and I plan on seeing his show live and I will pay whatever it costs to get front row.
Quote: TigerWuI stumbled across this thread on Reddit about a Roulette wheel hitting 0 on eight out of nine spins.
Someone said it was most likely some kind of maintenance or test, and then there's a lot of people arguing about odds and the gambler's fallacy.
Who is right???
I personally saw something similar happen like two days ago. 0/00 on Roulette came up like 3 times in a row and like 7 times in like 20 spins, something I have never seen in my life and fellow Roulette players were saying they had never seen that happen before either. We mused if we had just seen a world record, LMAO!
Tide = liquid gold. Apparently they claim its even used as drug currency. In some minority neighborhoods at Walmart here in Vegas they even have it under lock and key. We buy the cheap brand $1.98 stuff. Do you really even need laundry detergent to wash your clothing in a washer? Perhaps if you work on a pig farm or you sweat like a pig.Quote: EvenBobTide Pods are one of the most stolen

I would guessed my cell phone.Quote: NathanAbout Tide being stolen a lot, my local radio station had a "Things That Make You Go Hmm," Trivia game. If you won you got a free two pack ticket to a Concert or something like that. The question was, "What is the most stolen item in America today?" A woman called and answered, "Tide Detergent." I immediately thought, "What an idiot! Why would you think Tide Detergent is the most stolen item in America today? It's ONLY Laundry Detergent! How many people do you think are stealing Laundry Detergent?. You lost, you idiot!" Imagine my shocked surprise when she got it right! O.O O.O She admitted she looked it up on Google however. ;)
I always thought meat products were stolen more than anything.
The guy in the makeup and dress reminds me of a certain AP.
He began hounding not only me, but many other posters for money, including those he'd never met. One guy had been nice enough to put him up for a few days. Now he is threatening the dude and his family, of course, knowing where he lives. He rented a room from another guy before being thrown out, and obviously knows where he lives as well. And, being poker players, they can hardly avoid having at least some significant cash on hand. He posts incoherent rants and walks the strip for days at a time without sleeping.
It's cool to be nice and try to help people who are unlucky or troubled, but the lesson of the last month or so is clearly, keep those barriers up when dealing with people you do not know very well and very directly.
Quote: RigondeauxI addition to domestic WOV news, there is a guy on 2+2 who I met. Gave him some work. Smart. Seemed honest. But he also would talk about some really insane political stuff and aliens and so forth. By insane political stuff, I don't mean he was a Marxist or a Limbaugh die hard. I mean, he thinks a large percentage of politicians sexually abuse children in massive rituals and then sacrifice them to the devil and that the NYPD has videos of this happening but the entire department is covering up. (This is an interesting internet rabbit hole. It is also more or less what Rosanne believes). [Imagine hundreds of average cops being more or less OK with this and never telling a soul about it. LOL]

Soap actually makes water wetter in

Sorta. Had him pick up some FP and stuff.
I don't think he even knows my last name. But it has to be a bit scary for those who were more open with him.
The stuff he posts now is crazy. The surveillance state can't track me. I'm going to sue the 12 different people who don't know each other for all telling the same lies about me. Etc.
Since when is ZK on 2+2?

Five 0/00 in consecutive spins? O.O Hey that shocked face almost looks like 00 ! ;) I guess that would make Roulette experts that advise players to avoid 0/00 eat their hat! ;)
Quote:For nearly two decades at the Grand Canyon in Arizona, tourists, employees, and children on tours passed by three paint buckets stored in the National Park's museum collection building, unaware that they were being exposed to radiation.
One of the buckets was so full that its lid would not close.
Stephenson said the containers were stored next to a taxidermy exhibit, where children on tours sometimes stopped for presentations, sitting next to uranium for 30 minutes or more. By his calculation, those children could have received radiation dosages in excess of federal safety standards within three seconds, and adults could have suffered dangerous exposure in less than a half-minute.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission measures radiation contamination in millisieverts per hour or per year. According to Stephenson, close exposures to the uranium buckets could have exposed adults to 400 times the health limit — and children to 4,000 times what is considered safe.
I was kind of wondering how many chest x-rays in one day that would be equivalent to. 40? 400?

The piece is "Mad Rush" by Philip Glass. The composer's performance of this 1979 piece on his 1989 album "Solo Piano" is available here on YouTube. The album is discussed in Wikipedia here.Quote: WizardDoes anyone know the name of this piece?
Now, I might try to pretend that I am such an authority on such music that I knew the answer right away, but nobody here is likely to believe me. In truth, the name of the piece and the composer were identified by the performer in the Wizard's video, at about the 3:35 point. (See what you can learn when you pay attention?)
I suggest you let this selection of him play, it's an hour and some of his better work. Might find those numbers, or something you like even better.

Edit Ooh, good one, Doc! I didn't hear him say it either.

Thanks Doc!
You're absolutely right, that introduction slipped past me. I actually watched the video before clicking "publish" for the name, but he spoke so fast I didn't catch it. However, you're right, I should slow down and pay more attention.

Banned from being employed or like 86’d? Regardless, I can see how if someone got fired from Caesars Palace that they wouldn’t want to hire them at PH or another TR property. But I have no firsthand knowledge.
But I did work with a dealer who was relatively an all around f***-up. He got a job at the LINQ or whatever that place was when they opened (about 3-4 years ago I think?). He was acting all cool like he was a big shot dealer. First night, after work he got s***faced drunk, went to a nearby TR casino, made a fool of himself, and got fired on the spot. Lulz were had

onenickelmiracle,
If the employee has proven skills as a card counter (for example, if he's the counter-catcher), I would not be surprised at the casino auto-86ing him.

Quote: WizardI just got called for jury duty by the US District Court. You may recall I served only about six months ago for the local court. What kind of cases are common in the federal court?
"The federal courts have jurisdiction over
Cases that raise a "federal question" involving the United States Government , the U.S. Constitution, or other federal laws; and
Cases involving “diversity of citizenship," which are disputes between two parties not from the same state or country, and where the claim meets a set dollar threshold for damages.
More specifically, federal courts hear criminal, civil, and bankruptcy cases. And once a case is decided, it can often be appealed. "
Sounds like it could be just about anything.
Quote: WizardI just got called for jury duty by the US District Court. You may recall I served only about six months ago for the local court. What kind of cases are common in the federal court?
Maybe Mueller will have a case for you!
When they want to, Federal prosecutors can pick up the slack on an overburdened state court by transferring cases into its system but that pretty rare in NY. Don't know about Nevada.
A lot of Federal Court jury service is Grand Jury work, which can stink. You might meet once a week or once a month for insufferable periods.
