if you are in Seattle and want to travel a bit, try Vashon Island. It is twelve miles and twenty years distant.

How much do you fly? Cant be a whole lot if not flying for business. Yea, if flying DL, just about everything goes thru ATL. How much are you really giving up switching airlines. In your situation, I would consider Southwest. Its not a hub airline, its a point to point airline. Its a very well run airline and has a lot of customer loyalty including seniors.

I would probably choose American in Charlotte. That is a hub of theirs and I believe they have a rewards program with AMEX too.

Yes, that is the candidate I have considered. I just don't do enough flying anymore to bother making the change. My wife and I have made several car trips so far this year, including an eight-day, 2,500-mile jaunt Sunday-Sunday this past week (visiting 12 states and one Canadian province). In contrast, we have only made one trip this entire year (WoV Spring Fling) that involved plane flights. The usual plan is that we will drive from NC to any place east of the Mississippi River but fly to more distant areas and rent a vehicle there. This most recent car trip was an exception in that we hit three states west of that river (AR, MO, & IA). Some pre-trip discussions were covered in the Casino Chip of the Day thread a while back, and I need to make some post-trip comments there soon, too.

Going to Cuba on Sunday, getting excited. Drink some rum, smoke a cigar then stop smoking the cigar cause it probably tastes terrible lol. Im looking forward to the food, Cuban food is really good from what Ive had.

I had a few glasses of sake last night and while I wouldn't say I'm hung over, I feel foggy and just not so hot.

Used to be able to drink a polar bear under the table. I'm like a former NFL player who can now barely walk.

Enjoy it while you can, kids.

First off I hate sake, I dont get it at all. Second Im the same way, when I was a teenager I could drink an insane amount and get no hangover now I drink 2-3 beers and I feel sluggish the next day.

Im getting too old for this shit!

Yet all those Active Seniors marketing brochures depict happy healthy seniors, mansions, Rolexes and expensive booze, never a morbidly obese diabetic being lifted by firemen.

Sake is indeed rice beer not rice wine.

Do restaurants in Cuba actually have food to sell? Yachties entering Cuba used to have to display sufficient ration because food stores often had no merchandize to sel.

I'm told the best Cuban food is in Brooklyn.

Im assuming that the Cuban food in Miami is worlds better than Brooklyn.
