The point of DT is to narrow the focus here and strengthen the WOV brand. So, probably not never. But maybe after the public launch?

I would think starting new threads over there sooner would be better. Then when there is a public launch, there's already content there?
Just an idea.
I'm really excited about the idea to turn this back into a Vegas/Gambling board.
(I do know how to block threads, and I've just started doing it. I'd rather just not have to do it at all though)

Stopping gambling oriented folks from posting about non gambling topics will NOT strengthen the WoV brand, it will weaken it. If there were only 'solid' gambling related topics I would be far less interested in THIS site.

Me too, but I don't think Mike has much (any) interest in being the Wizard of Political Bickering. I also wonder if the non-gambling, non-travel, non-Vegas discussions keep potential new members away.

I came here for information on Vegas. I met some nice people here but had every intention of leaving once the HBC was resolved and only coming around when I was about to visit a casino. Now that DT is open I have a place to discuss the non-Vegas stuff without having to sift through four or five pages when I go away for a weekend.
So: Thanks, Mike, for the new forum! I'm sure you've been feeling unappreciated with all the sniping and stubborn resistance, but I enjoy the new home now that you've turned the lights up a bit.

Even though we are in the Capital region of NY somewhat inland we are taking this storm seriously. Our greatest worry are the power outages . Stockimg up on food which does not require refrigertation and above all that the car is fully gassed up.
Our residence is dependent upon an uninterrupted power supply: heat, refrigeration ,hot water .
