I guess I'll put this in the Kiosk because the phone number checks out compared to the website. I don't see anything on the website about this promotion, though, so I might call and verify the information Monday.

No .. "Hop Bets" are combo specific .. meaning for 7 you have to call it 6-1, 5-2 or 4-3 .. you have a 2 in 36 (1 in 18) chance of winning these one time bets .. with 15 to 1 payment .. so the casino takes a theoretical $2 per $18 or about 11% .. one of the bigger money makers for casinos .. mind you .. they are a big pain the butt to manage on the dealer side!

Some players will call out "3 way seven on the hop" .. which essentially means three $1 bets covering each possibility of 7 (1-6 2-5 and 3-4). Depending on the casino placing a 3-way seven hopping bet will pay you 1/12th more than "Big Red" bets (with the standard 4 to 1 payout) in the long term.


30 to one is for specific 1-1 2-2 3-3 4-4 5-5 or 6-6 bets .. but again for one roll .. that's why the payment is considerably different from standard "Hard Way" bets! ;)

I attended college in Kalamazoo, not far from Firekeeper's in Battle Creek. Had that casino been open in the 70's, I probably would not have earned my degree. Then again, I did not have a car throughout college. Go figure.
