Problem with Google Chrome

Somehow for the last few months, my boxes, edges and tabs are invisible. I cannot figure out how to fix them. Specically there is no visible border between tabs, no outline for the edges where you scroll down and up on pages, no outline for any search box nor any options such as the boxes you're required to check to confirm you have read and understand terms.

Desktop, laptop or dumbfone?

I solved something like this a few years ago (laptop) but everything has changed in that short of time.

you can also try uninstalling chrome if you can and then re-installing it
