I think it just has to be branded a VISA or MASTERCARD to have protection. I did use a debit card, but I'm not worried about it. It just sucks this company does business this way. I figured out it was just a loses wire, but he did a bunch of unnecessary work and still didnt fix the problem.
I had lots of proof he didn't do the work he claimed, he didn't change the parts he claimed, and he lied about what was wrong. I had statements from two mechanics, pictures, a time line, texts and a recording of the guy trying to BS me. I went into the bank and presented everything and they still wouldn't give me back the money. They said unless somome use my debit card without my authorization there was nothing they could do other than go to small claims court.
I don’t understand why anyone would use a debit card instead of a credit card. Just pay it off on time every month. I think most credit cards give better benefits.

I think I do at this time of year every time. A day designed to part men from their money and most of them end up in the dog house by the end of the day anyway. It is on the 14th of February that I wish I lived anywhere but the US that makes up stupid holidays like this.
To make up for the money they wasted on these talkshow hosts, they run scammy and shottty buisness operations. I never charged back an item once in my life but if I was going to it would be one of these companies just so I do not have to deal with their customer service.
