Perhaps he used a debit card. I'm not sure if the same rules apply when you use a debit card. I seemed to remember it was harder to get your money back when using a debit card. Years ago, when I used my debit card, I totally got screwed by a mobile mechanic. My car wouldn't start and it seemed as if it was the starter and coil or some combination. He said it was all fixed. It started up and I got it home. Later that day the same thing was happening again. The guy said he couldn't come for a few days. I figured out it was just a loses wire, but he did a bunch of unnecessary work and still didnt fix the problem.

I had lots of proof he didn't do the work he claimed, he didn't change the parts he claimed, and he lied about what was wrong. I had statements from two mechanics, pictures, a time line, texts and a recording of the guy trying to BS me. I went into the bank and presented everything and they still wouldn't give me back the money. They said unless somome use my debit card without my authorization there was nothing they could do other than go to small claims court.

I think it just has to be branded a VISA or MASTERCARD to have protection. I did use a debit card, but I'm not worried about it. It just sucks this company does business this way. I highly doubt they have customer service set up to act this way unintentionally. It's normal in the internet age I suppose, been finding it out lately.

Teasing about the ‘mean’ comment. Beer will be on me.
I don’t understand why anyone would use a debit card instead of a credit card. Just pay it off on time every month. I think most credit cards give better benefits.

Did I ever mention that I hate Valentine's Day? I think I do at this time of year every time. A day designed to part men from their money and most of them end up in the dog house by the end of the day anyway. It is on the 14th of February that I wish I lived anywhere but the US that makes up stupid holidays like this.

But it is also National Condom Awareness Day and National Ferris Wheel day. Put those 2 together. Now that could make for an exciting Valentine's day date. Not exactly Mile High Club, but definitely FUN !

After I confirm that, I am going to celebrate both those things on Feb 14.

If you are into AP all holidays are a good thing since gambling establishments often run promotions during that time.

Of course these guys are a scam they get touted on talk radio everyday. Those talk show hosts whore themselves out to whoever sends them money. Xchair, some BS mattress that’s going to change your life, 1800flowers.

To make up for the money they wasted on these talkshow hosts, they run scammy and shottty buisness operations. I never charged back an item once in my life but if I was going to it would be one of these companies just so I do not have to deal with their customer service.
