Sadly, those links are now dead.

Try these links instead. Part 1 of 7. Sorry, no subtitles. :|
Part 2 of 7.
Part 3 of 7.
Part 4 of 7.
Part 5 of 7.
Part 6 of 7.
Part 7 of 7.

I used the book as a major reference in a couple college papers I wrote. (When I was a baby gay. Or something like that.) It is remarkable how much LGBT film content has exploded in the last 15 years. For the first year my husband and I subscribed to Netflix, we had nothing but gay film on the queue. Like everything else in film, some were fantastic, some were cheesy, and some were unwatchable. (Even with full frontal.)

More recently in that genre, I thought "A Single Man" was very, very good.

Since watching that documentary I saw and old movie again, and I was looking for gay subtext.
That Funny Feeling 25 August 1965 (USA) Sandra Dee, Bobby Darin and Donald O'Connor

There were lots of innuendo about "interior decorators". The Donald O'Connor seemed almost stereotypical gay, but the plot had him going through a divorce. His biggest concern was that his wife not find out his assets, particularly a collection of valuable paintings that he was hiding from her.

Maybe it was my imagination.
