I'll be in Vegas (staying at Monte Carlo) for a long weekend in early December. I've only been here once over a wknd before, and I know I can probably find $5 craps and $10 blackjack downtown on a Sat nite. Does any Strip/slightly off-Strip casino still offer those kinds of limits on the wknds? I figure Monte Carlo, Trop, Riviera, Hilton, or Gold Coast (maybe TI?) might be reasonable places to try. I figure it'll be $15/$25 anywhere else on a Fri/Sat night, or is it a bit cheaper than that?

The Stratosphere I know does $10, BUT its only 6:5 on the single deck, the last time I was there the some (if not all, I can't remember) shoe delt games that pay 3:2, Also in the party pit its $5.00 6:5 all night long.

Crapsless craps is $10.00 and craps is $5.00 if I am not mistaken.

Have a great time in Vegas, I'll be there next weekend, can't wait!

If you can deal with The Excalibur I know they have lots of 3:2 tables at $10 and maybe a craps table at 5 during the day.

Excalibur?

Alot depends on whim of the pitboss and the normal ebb and flow of crowds. If you trek to the Stratosphere you might even be happy all night long and at 3:2. You'll always have their 6:5 there but once you are at the Strat its another trek to get anywhere else if a Pit Boss happens to have a whim that you don't like. Though between BJ, Craps and Roulette, the Strat is normally a low roller's paradise because it generally has to be.

How about Ellis Island? Seems like last time I was there on a weekend I played $5 craps and blackjack there. It's a far cry from the Bellagio, but their microbrews are tasty.

Fixed that for you.

You may find a $5 table at MC in the afternoon, and if you last long enough be grandfathered at $5 for the evening. December is a slow time so that's a better chance at the lower limits.

Watch out for the beer prices at "The Pub" at MC. A standard draft can run you $10.

Thanks, kp. I figured I'd probably find $5/$10 tables in the morning/early afternoon times, but I wasn't sure how much it would go up at night (I figure $15+, but maybe I'm wrong). According to their web site, their high limit area has $25 blackjack, but I'd doubt it's that cheap during the weekends. I've always thought the MC is a really nice intersection of "nice" and "not overpriced". I'm not a pretentious/flashy person at all, and I feel like the MC fits my style.

The Orleans and Gold Coast give good (and easy to get) comps. Especially, Gold Coast has good Chinese restaurant that open till 3AM.
