First card is an ace is a promotion given to you by a Casino it gives you the first card is an ace. The promotion usually restricts your bet to maximum bet well under the table max the most I have been able to bet with the coupon was $25. Always bet the max that the coupon will allow not doing so will give up the biggest advantage that you will ever have in a single hand. A lot of the time a tie will save your coupon for the next hand this can be very valuable too you. That can change the basic stragedy of how to play your hand. If you have a A-2 vs a 4 normally a double you might want to just want to hit it to increase the chance of a tie. There is probably a few other plays like that. Does anybody have a stragedy for first card is an ace coupon keep the coupon in a tie?

A-2 vs. a 4 is not normally a double.

Generally, play the ace coupon hand as you would under basic strategy, while hitting instead of doubling on marginal doubles like A-3, A-4, A-5 vs. 4.

A2 vs a 4 is a very marginal double even in a one deck game expected gain 5 bets in a 1,000 or .5% and is probably wrong in a 2 or more deck game.
I wonder if staying on a soft 17 vs a 7 in this situation could be the right play, normally it is a very strong hit to hit out soft 17 no matter the up card.

Now that I think about you might want to look at the ties win stragedy and mimic that for first card is an ace coupon keep coupon on a push! They pay you half your bet on a tie. You are not allowed to double or split and blackjack pays even money.

Staying with soft 17 is always the wrong play even in ties win vs a 7.

Ties win stragedy you can't double or split I would follow this stragedy except when getting two aces than I would split them.

Looking at the ties win stragedy there are only a couple of more hits that are stands with normal basic stragedy they are
hit a 12 vs a 4 and hit a 13 vs a 2 normally marginal stands. So if you have A-5 hit get a 6 vs a 4 you should hit again when you have a first card is an ace coupon that you keep on a tie. Also this is a good hit if the count is negative.
