This reminded me of Wiz's sign.
Is it still there?
How often does one need to pay to keep it up?

Today I learned the difference between "adopt a highway" and "sponsor a highway".
I know I have some family members who have adopted a stretch of road in memoriam; DOT gives them trash bags and brightly colored vests for free, so long as they keep picking up litter.

adopt = you and friends pick up the trash in the stretch of road
sponsor = your $ goes toward approved contractors to pick up trash
i assume for sponsor, you need to pay every x years?
