Suppose someone is playing a slot machine, which rarely hits the top jackpot,
They hit it once. They receive their hand pay.
They immediately hit it again.
They immediately hit it a third time.
They immediately hit it a fourth time.
Next day it makes the local news. yada yada yada.
But wait.
What would really happen? Would the casino shut down the machine after the third consecutive win?
It doesn't happen, because it can't happen without the casino getting suspicious. Thus those "impossible" records never get recorded if they get noticed by the casino.
Conclustion: The only time impossible odds happen is when the casino fails to notice something, but a few players do and tell the tale.

Not at all. It's something he believed in. It takes a particular person to try and ruin a tribute.
5 min later, she hits it again on the same machine.
(Edit: 5 min after she gets paid)
was sitting next to a husband whose wife is sending him a pic about her handpay.
then another
then another.
might have gotten a 4th one.
all in like 30min on the same machine and i think the bet size was $3/spin.
casino shut down the machine after the last one

Any idea where this happened? Any casino that can make four hand pays in thirty minutes is pretty efficient and deserves recognition.
Quote: SandybestdogThe other day I was playing roulette. I played about 100 spins. I just play the even money bets. I lost 15 in a row. Not once though but twice. 2 separate streaks in 100 spins. If my math is correct it’s 15181:1 to lose 15 in a row. 2 of those in 100 spins? Don’t bother calculating it. It’s just not your day.

There are some here who would have told you to ride the streaks.
