Sundial's suck for telling time I had one when I lived in California. Why don't you get one and tell me how it works out

My trained rooster wakes me up in the morning.

I had some chickens and a rooster back in the 80s, didn't last the summer. Screw free eggs cuz they ain't really free. Chickens are expensive pain-in-the-ass hobby
Quote: EvenBobOh my dear God, I cannot believe some of the posts in this thread. All I'm doing is daylight savings time in the winter but it's for 2 hours instead of 1 hour. And none of you except one or two get it. Do you do this with daylight savings time every year, walk around totally confused? And I expected you people to understand my roulette method? This is a real eye-opener, I'm stunned. What was I thinking even making the roulette thread, there's no hope anybody will even begin to understand it. Good grief..

I thought the Roulette thread was only created so you could understand it and you didn't care what the rest of us got out of it.

No. I wake when I am rested, I sleep when I tire, I eat when I have hunger.
I find time of day to be useful only for coordinating my activities with others.
If I'm needed for something at 3:15pm, I find it helps significantly if all parties agree on the definition of "3:15pm", rather than attempting conversion between Dieter Standard Time, Classroom Time, When The Ice Cream Shop Closes Time, and 10763±75 seconds past local solar noon.
Thats basically what I do unless there's something going on where I am bound by a schedule then I'll just push through when I'm tired or hungry. But, as soon as that's over I resume back to just eating and sleeping whenever I feel like it. One day I might be just waking up at 4 am and 2 days later I might be just going to bed at 4 am. It's rare that I'm not up during the 1 pm - 10 pm. Oftentimes I'll just, sleep for 2-3 hours 2 times a day.Quote: DieterQuote: EvenBobOh my dear God, I cannot believe some of the posts in this thread. Great minds think alike. British raconteur Dave Gormon has fixed all the anomalies of the Gregorian calendar.
WWII ended a little over 80 years ago, Meaning people that have a useful memory of it are at least 90.
The Civil War ended just around 80 years before that! Meaning a child talking to the old person today would be like that old person talking to an old person about the Civil War when they were a kid.
At the same time, that person remembering the Civil War would be talking to someone about the Revolutionary War when they themselves were a kid.
Mind bottled!

World War 2 ended 1945 which is 77 years ago. You had me afraid for a minute thinking that people born in 1945 are 80 already.

I think I meant to say "rounded 80 years ago." I find 80 to be a key number in history, pressures build and every 80 years big disruption and big change. Then it starts all over again.

That's because Haley's Comet comes every 76 years and is an omen of events to come.
Its 1910 visit brought us WW1 and its 1986 passing led to the NY Mets winning a World Series.
There is unverified film footage of someone supposedly born in the 1790s.
The earliest known photo of a person was taken in 1838, of a man of unknown age, and of course there are a lot of photos of people born in the 1700s.

Wow, what a great and meaningful parallel. Therefore, 2052 or thereabouts will produce WWIII or the Tokyo Swallows will win the World Series.

Will take a few comets to get the Pirates to win one.

At the age of 68, John Tyler had a son, Lyon. Lyon married a much younger woman and at the age of 75 had a son, Harrison. Harrison is in his late nineties and is alive today. No word whether his wife is prego.

He has three children but the youngest one is 61 now. Doubt he'll have any more kids since he's now living in a nursing home with dementia. They should freeze some of his sperm or something....LOL....see how long we can keep this crazy train going.
