I saw this description on VPFREE2 for a Video Poker machine: "(0.80% meter)".

What does that mean ?

THANKS !

Progressive meter that moves at .8% coin in. Assumed royal only if not otherwise specified.

For every $100 played through the machine the progressive meter will go up $0.80.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

Said another way, you can take the base pay table (with royal at 4000 coins), to get the base payback and then add 0.8% to that to get the long run return for that particular machine.

Of course the return at any given moment (the "spot return") depends on the current value of the progressive.
