I just want the "we need to DO SOMETHING" crowd to say what they will do other than say MASKSMASKSMASKSMASKS. I get that they have some thing against people who prefer not to wear masks, but I want to hear something of substance. We had seen results with hydroxychloroquine and zinc taken early but that they pooh-poohed. Given my choice I would take the hydroxychloroquine over a mask. We had a thread on mask wearers catching the bug.

I seriously want someone to explain what the "action" is to take other than masks. We have had the masks forced on us for 6 months in my parts. "Masks" is no longer an answer to "action."

People don't/won't follow proper mask, hand washing and social distancing guidelines. For example, I have seen people on numerous occasions actually take down their mask to sneeze, cough or clear their throat. Social distancing, forget about it.

It doesn't work when we have defiant, carless, clueless or forgetful people.

Half assed lock downs along with what I said above won't get the job done. without across the board strict mandates things will just get worse as we play musical lock downs, so It is what it is. I still do most of the the things I normally would, I just do less of it and I'm more carful when I'm out and about.

And after that, why not go to an ER and tell them you have it. The fun possibilities are endless. Maybe call 911 and tell them you need a couple of ambulances while you are at it.

Travel restrictions just put in place for To and From California, 14 day quarantine. That will hurt Nevada but this is something that is impossible to enforce.

Making extra rules that largely will not be followed and they will not enforce is just what California does, nothing new here.

Think that probably cancels thanksgiving for my parents, they already had the virus so were going to travel there to visit grandchild/son but probably have to cancel now even though they have antibodies.

Your chance of catching covid in an airport queue or on the flying sardine tin are somewhat Higher than, say TerapinEd's chances within his RV.
Still if you want to risk your life and those of your family and friends, that's between you and them.

Did you even read my original post? Airport queues as well as seating are social distanced. Try not to be too condescending, your personal insult should keep you in red for three days.

Seating is definitely airline by airline, I think southwest and delta are leaving middle open while American is most definitely filling every seat they can now, I made the mistake of my one and only time flying post pandemic so far post pandemic being American and there wasnít an empty seat on the plane, I think this was September. They do all have the near constant flow of outside air clouds now which is a noticeable difference. Overall itís probably safer than people think compared with most other indoor activities.

I was reading about a family in an RV that was cutting thru a segment of Canada on their way to Alaska. The rule evidently is you have to go straight thru, with no stops. The family stopped to pose for some photos and the RCMP impounded their vehicle with the net results being $12,000 in fines.

Sounds like we know where all the government officials from East Germany ended up! That is unbelievable.

They have traced over a thousand cases to a rest stop/service area outside of Gallup so the danger is more than at your grocery store. Stay safe.
At some point, you should hit Bisbee and the Mule Mountains. It's a magical place.

Rest Stops are very safe for me
I just use them to stretch my legs
Got an RV
I do my business in my RV. Clean and safe
I did hit Bisbee. Took a walk around town. Even walked up part of the 1k steps.
1/2 of main St closed due to virus
Have too look into Mule Mountain.

Safest way to travel.
Left Tampa Aug. Been traveling since.

In Tucson
Last few stops for a week, Tombstone, Silver City, ABQ, Santa Fe, Amarillo, OKC, Tulsa
Seen a lot :-)

Great, in contact with my cousin Pat who lives there and grew up in the US
Business as usual. They have concerts with no social distancing.
