How much would one be to Planet Hollywood?
Can I just get one on the day? or should I book in advance?

From McCarran airport, no need to arrange for a limo unless you wish to pay and travel as such.

DO shop around and book in advance. They will wait for you on Level Zero of the airport. OR

1. Take the 108 bus on level Zero to Planet Hollywood. (Harmon & Paradise)
see the RTC schedule at http://www.rtcsnv.com/transit/route/108/108(11-07-10).pdf

2. Grab a Cab level 1: outrageously expensive, but still slightly cheaper than a limo.

Or for those arriving Internationally at Terminal 2, there are a couple of limos for hire directly outside the terminal. There are also shuttle busses there, and Taxis are around the corner to the left.

to get to where Dan is talking about, you need to hit the Airport Transfer Shuttle, and that is just a waste of time when coming in to Vegas. When going home however it is worth making the trip to terminal 1 for more souvenir stores, a starbucks, and other stores as Terminal 2 airside has extremely limited options for both eating and shopping. Terminal 1 also has a bar where you can smoke indoors if you are that way inclined.

Actually, I've picked up a number of fellow members and drove them to and from McCarran and the Hotels on my off time, sometimes throwing a little dice or grabbing lunch with them; I live right by the airport, between the Paradise Road Enterance and the Russell Road enterance. I live in a complex at the South West corner of the Airport, Eastern & Trop. I'd fire up the MB 190e. An idea...

Don't bother. It ain't cheap, and you might as well just take a cab if you're in a big hurry.

My choice would be Gray Line or Bell Trans. $8, and it gets you to any casino, and reasonably quickly.

Not that it's very likely, but you should ask the hotel if they have a free shuttle.

If your coming in International (Virgin?) walk around the corner and grab a Taxi. Cheaper and just as fast. Just don't get long hauled (going via the tunnel). From international, you can be at the bottom four corners (NYNY) of the strip in a matter of minutes, and PHo isn't much further going via the back route. I've paid $15 for International to the The Orleans, coming in mid afternoon.

I have caught the limo back to the airport three times, twice comped and the third time because the driver was heading out for a fair and hustle a few $5 bills from four of us for the trip. It's kind of a nice bonus. I don't think the airport shuttles are worth it, unless your being very frugal.
