I'm travelling all over the country in my RV
Started in Tampa. Currently in Santa Fe, NM
I like to travel 2 to 3 hours then stop for a week and check out an area
Planning on landing in Vegas around beginning of Dec
Any suggestions
I'm currently looking at the Oasis RV resort Las Vegas on Windmill lane
Also considering KOA at Sams Town
Priority is safety
2nd priority is good Wifi
Anybody know anything about the above RV parks?
Any other suggestions?

I can't offer you much as I know very little about RV parks. I can tell you that if safety is a big concern I would avoid the Sam's Town area. That is kind of a rougher neighborhood in my opinion.

On the other hand, $20 hookers are known to work that area so that is something to consider. LOL
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

Those 2, Oasis and KOA
Have the highest ratings on google
I dont mind being near bad as long as I am safe. Kind of like the Strat.
I actually had to detour to Vegas earlier then I wanted to
Could not get a spot in a nice park in San Diego for Thanksgiving
So instead of heading west after a stop in Yuma
Heading north and got a spot at a nice place in Laughlin

Don’t know anything about it but I wonder if Boulder City might have better options.

Vegas will get very cold, 32 or lower is not uncommon. Reno will get down to 32 or lower, but rarely into the teens. But unlike Vegas, we will not warm up during the day as much. Snow is hit and miss, doesn't usually stick around for more than 2-3 days. I ride a motorcycle, I don't own a car so that should give you an idea about the weather.

Circus Circus?

Is it still open? I know they were planning on closing but not sure when.

I'm going to disagree on Sam's town. It's outside the RV park that you have to worry about, not inside. And if you're going to use your bicycle, and not walk, it's even more unlikely you will have any problems.

But I say the same thing about other areas. I mean Downtown is bad if you go to certain areas outside your hotel at different times. And if you have dealt with bad areas often enough, you can read the area pretty well and avoid trouble. And same as anywhere, don't leave things unlocked or attract attention with valuables in sight.
There's no secret. Just know what you're talking about before you open your mouth.

Circus Circus is still open.

Tough to find a good RV park in a good area of Vegas, IMO.

What’s it cost to hook up a RV at a nice place? $75 a night?

Oasis RV park review

Very well set up for checking in with multiple lanes to park a rig. Nicest RV lobby I've been in. Closer to a hotel lobby. Rates are very expensive. Staying a couple of weeks. I asked about a monthly rate. Monthly rates sold out yet the RV park only about half full. Sucks they cap the number of monthly rates to sell. Since half full, nobody close to me which is great. Level sites on a concrete pad and provide a picnic table. RV park has 24 hour security. Cable provided with showtime. Wifi is excellent. Store, bar and restaurant on the property. They have a 18 hole putting course but it's in real rough shape. Closest casino is the Silverton. Got Chinese takeout from there.
Overall one of the nicest and safest RV parks I have stayed but also most expensive.

Decided to move out of the Oasis
I thought they were charging too much
Moved over to the KOA at Sams town
Much more reasonable price
I really like it here.
Can walk to Sams Town
Nice RV park. Gravel lots that are flat
Very good wi-fi and lots of cable channels
I feel pretty safe here
I love being in Vegas in an RV rather then a hotel room
Total comfort as I am sleeping in my own bed. Always have an issue trying to sleep in hotel beds.
Got all my toys with me, Xbox and switch, fridge full of food, my music collection.
Got my truck so I'm mobile, got my bike and golf clubs
Thinking about staying here for at least a month
Would like to maybe move to Southern CA for a month but have to see with the virus
Not moving to a closed down state
Just trying to stay warm till the Winter is over then continue to travel all over the country
So far here is what I've done
Started in Tampa, Cedar Key, Tallahassee, Pensacola, Montgomery, Birmingham, Meridian, Memphis, Hot Springs, Tulsa, OKC, Amarillo, Santa FE, ABQ, Silver City, Tombstone, Tucson, Yuma, Laughlin, Vegas

I am jealous of your opportunity and your travels. I personally would have no interest in the RV lifestyle but I am happy that you are enjoying it.

It's certainly not for most people. After living in an RV park for over a year, I find most people who live in them fulltime are a very different breed.

I'm actually the type that can't stay put
All the cities I visited, stayed 1 week
It's the perfect stay when RV'ing around the country
After 1 week anywhere, ready to move

I'm actually good with the surrounding area
Got my bike so I rode all over the place
RV park surrounded by a wall with a fence on top of the wall.
Its not gated but just 1 entrance and exit
Across the street is Walmart
Next door is Sams Town. I rode my bike all through the back of the place, all walled off from the neighborhood Sams Town
I rode in the other direction to Harman Ave which had access to the neighborhood behind Sams Town
I rode my bike around that neighborhood. All individual houses
Did not find the neighborhood sketchy at all
Maybe it gets sketchy a few blocks away but in the surrounding area, not sketchy

There is an RV park up the road, roadrunner. That RV park itself looks sketchy. Packed in tight at cheap rates. I like to stay at the nicer places for safety even though I dont use the amenities.

You are mistaken. Very mistaken. That section of Boulder Highway is very skeevy.

Not sure how helpful or accurate this is, but there is a Crime Rate Map at neighborhoodscout dot com.

The area where Sam's Town is looks to me to be the same Color Code as the Strip. I do NOT live in the Vegas area so I cannot weigh in from personal experience.
