Everybody working on the vaccine will die too.

My casino sent out a memo last night saying we are now closed through April 30 and all employees will be paid, including average tips, through that date. Any closure past that date will be re-evaluated for continued pay to employees.

Sounds reasonable. They will re-evaluate and close for longer Book it. I'm seeing the upward trajectory of cases here in Buffalo. You are a week or two behind us. (BY you I mean Vegas)

I'm in Az. We have 665 confirmed cases and 18 deaths. It's been going up about 100 per day for cases and a handful for deaths each of the last 3 days.

How long was Macau shut down for? Is it still open on a limited, social distancing basis?

My guess is July 1 in the lesser affected areas. September 1 in the hardest hit areas.

If the ability to social distance is a main factor in the order in which businesses are permitted to reopen, casinos should be near the last ones.

I guess they could take some measures to make it easier. Allow only 3 people at a roullete table at a time, only have every 3rd slot machine along a row be operable , limit blackjack table occupancy to every other seat.

To me this sounds more likely than what anyone else has guessed in this thread. But none of us really has a clue. Don't get me wrong, I'm dying to go play some video poker. Poor choice of words. But even if they were to open that early, say as early as September, I personally don't think I would go in to a casino until everyone has been playing for awhile and ain't no one croaking. I'm staying home. If anything, it never hurts to get more practice so I can do that on vp software. Practice some games that I never play. Heck, I don't even know Bonus Poker perfectly. There's a lot of penalty cards in that game that I'm rusty on. I got plenty of time to practice.

Penn National has been paying their workers during this time.

That changes April first. They move to unpaid furlough status

I got an email from Valley View (SoCal) the other day saying that they're still hopeful for an April 4th reopening. (...Yeah. No.)

But more interestingly, there's a report from the AGA, last updated on March 26th, stating that 982 of 989 casinos are closed, and there's a different article saying that all of the ones that remain open are tribal properties.

Has anybody managed to find one that's actually still open?

And for more fun: I got an offer in the mail today for a free cruise in July. Considering that I took the precaution of spraying down the envelope first...
