Not at all. Good to see you found a new friend to banter with on the other site, DT! Nathan and you are going back and forth I see!

Ok. I have time. So here’s the summary. You chose ‘blackjackckpro’ as a moniker, but your first post was a particularly stupid blackjack post that I would be embarrassed if my 8 year old child posted. Your posting style is reminiscent of Nathan. And Kentry. Trolls they were. (I’ll take a suspension if needed). So long time members are making inuendis about you all being the same. Thankfully Nathan has been banned from here. But the forum is not technologically sophisticated enough to figure out with 100% certainty who is who so we will have to put up with your inane posts, just as we did with Nathan’s.

Does betting the darkside when the shooter got hot count as a mistake?

I’d label that more as just bad luck

Well in that case one time I was a bit punchy and playing BJ with a six deck shoe. Without thinking when the dealer gave me my cards I just picked them and held them close to my body as if I was playing the other version. Oops.

I was playing hold'em in a one table live feeder tournament, $200 buy-in.

My hand came 9-8 spades. I call the bet of another player, two of us seeing the flop.

The flop comes 9-9-5. Opponent bets, I raise and he calls.

The turn is a 9 !!!!! I have quad 9s. Opponent and I both go all in. Opponent turns over pocket K-K pair; he has a full house.

And I turned over: 8-7 spades. WTF? Where is my 9? I mis- remembered my hand! I have nothing. $200 gone, along with all of my dignity.
Sometimes, people are just a bottomless mystery. And, after all, this is just a sh*tty little forum in the sun-less backwaters of the online world.

I got overly cocky with a Blackjack hand that seemed almost to be a sure thing. I had a 20, Dealer had a 10. I thought,"This is a near perfect hand! I've basically got this in the bag! "Dealer ended up with another 11, so naturally I busted.

I've been meaning to ask, and maybe someone who's not currently suspended can explain to me....

If BlackjackPro had 20 and is a Blackjack Pro, under what circumstances could he/she 'bust'?

Or does 'bust' have a different meaning in US Blackjack to what it does in England?
Here it is generally taken to mean 'To take one's hand over 21 and thus lose'

Anyone?
If you are enjoying the game, you're already winning.
