While I definitely agree that it's absurd to expect any president to solve all the problems that have lingered for decades, I do think that said president shouldn't make things worse. Vaguely calling for your political opponent's assassination isn't exactly the best place to start, wouldn't you agree?

Yes, pretty sure they do! You nailed it.
The Israeli state actually has a "well-regulated militia."
Quote:The Israeli state deigns to grant its citizens permission to carry firearms as part of a multi-layered national security strategy that sees a carefully selected and even more carefully regulated cadre of armed citizens as one of several lines of defense against terror attacks, the American state isn’t even allowed the ability to reliably know which Americans are armed, or with what.

I’m assuming most are not sneaking in over the border through Mexico.

A family member has a Regional Center designation from Immigration Services, and is in the business of helping Chinese investors secure permanent visas through the EB-5 Investor Regional Center Program.
The EB-5 is given to qualified foreign investors willing to invest a minimum of $500k in commercial enterprise, and plan to create at least ten full time jobs for US Workers.
I am told, Jared Kushner also has a Regional Center designation.

I purposely didn't credit either President Obama or President Trump for the economy improving in my post. I don't think either is completely responsible. I think the economy improved under President Obama, but that it would have never stayed where it was when he took office no matter who was elected at that point. It was due to rebound; our economy does run in cycles.
I do think that President Trump has inspired more confidence in the economy. I don't think President Obama inspired as much confidence for whatever reason...
I am NOT commenting on the investigation or the hearing today overall; I am only wondering why someone in that position thinks that a communication device owned by the government, his employer, won't somehow be checked out by that employer or others in an investigation.

If you are in a position of authority investigating very serious matters, possibly ones that could lead to the indictment and conviction of Senator Clinton AND/OR the impeachment and removal office of President Trump, you should be smart enough to realize that any actions on your part can (and probably will) come under scrutiny.
You should be smart enough to keep your private communications private and your work product on your work devices.
As should everyone...one chance in a trillion is not "no chance"...

All people should at least stay away from inappropriate work conversation for sure. I don't really care if someone makes infrequent AND SHORT calls for some sort of message that can't really wait until later. Though I'd also be fine if whatever government or agency decided to send bills for personal phone use if they really want to. Probably should in fact.
Acccccctually, in "general" in the scientific community, anything past 4 decimal places is considered irrelevant. Of course this doesn't include outliers such as upper level projects like launching a rocket in to space, etc, etc. But in general, yes, that's pretty well considered "no chance" by even science measures.Quote: RonC... I guess that is a great answer for a math-oriented board, but we are talking about a public employee intimately involved with two (or more) high-level investigations with national implications and, as a topper, a tawdry little affair on the side!
There was a chance. They did get his texts.
You can imagine which side I get the most emails from, but I am on enough lists that I get plenty from both.
The sky isn't falling, it isn't the end of the world, and, no matter your view on President Trump or Senator Clinton, the USA will still be around after this election...and the next one...and so on...

Somebody just did the equivalent for the record. He asked Stzor or however it's spelled, to answer yes or no to each quote. He then read about a dozen statements negative to Trump, the guy answered no, then the member said "that's correct, you didn't " and named the Republican member in each case who did.
It was pretty entertaining.
This whole testimony has been a complete goat-rope of nastiness among the Congressman. Screaming and shouting, insults flying, etc. It's really something.

So since bashing Trump and Republicans is open season here, I assume it OK to make generic claims about legal sex acts between 2 men, obviously with no members in good standing here in mind.

"Trump renewed the long-standing U.S. criticism of the project on Wednesday, and doubled down by tying it to the future of NATO. “Germany, as far as I’m concerned, is captive to Russia because it’s getting so much of its energy from Russia,” Trump told NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, speaking on camera. “We have to talk about the billions and billions of dollars that’s being paid to the country we’re supposed to be protecting you against.”

Dear Spaghetti Monster...there is a difference between using the Obama gaffe as an example and using it to attack Obama. It is an EXAMPLE of a politician making an error that is easy to remember and was only used in context. It was not an attack on Obama. I could have found others by politicians on both sides; that just one to came to mind as a quick example.
Quote: ams288Donald's inflated GDP claims were not a "mistake" - he was LYING. He always LIES.
You are just as funny as ever and still one of the main reasons I left here--you have no desire to converse about anything and you cannot even accept that someone who has lied before (and I have said that) might not be lying now... because it could not possibly have been a mistake and not a lie.
I've said it before to you directly and I will say it again--I am not as far to the right as you are to the left. I don't love any politician or party. I am conservative and there is nothing wrong with that. I get along with a lot of liberals live and in person; keyboard warriors tend to be a lot nastier than real people...real people can talk through things and come to some agreements.
