Anyway, who cares? First ladies (and someday, the First Man, or whatever...and maybe even First Partner...) are not elected and they should pretty much be sticking to their chosen good works.
There are so many other real issues...that is the last I will have to say on the First Lady....
Exactly. But the lefties have no solutions for the real issues so they have to constantly harp of non issues like who our greatest President ever banged 10 years before he even ran his first campaign.

Lets face facts. Its real name is Bruce.
Quote: BozTrump cancels Eagles WH visit. Now the liberal spin is only 10-15 Eagles we’re going to attend.
Either way, Trump wins with his base and the middle while the left again makes it appear Americans are dying at the hands of the police everyday through no fault of their own.
Any wonder why liberals are considered more and more out of the beliefs of mainstream America everyday?
Total insult to the working class fans of the Eagles.
See what support they have when they are 4-12 again.
Soooo..... I still don't care about this story (or the NFL in general).
But I just saw that none of the Eagles players even took a knee last season?! So what is the big deal here and why are we blaming liberals for it?
Just as Gold Star families are missing. Talk about disrespect!Quote: ams288Melania is still missing!
Just as any support for the ridiculous assertion about who funds Avenatti is missing. Just more empty vitriol.
What else is fake "missing"?
Like Donald Trump, Fox News gets caught lying about the Philadelphia Eagles.
"I think that is good," Trump said of the new rule. "I don't think people should be staying in locker rooms. You have to stand proudly for the national anthem. Or you shouldn't be playing, you shouldn't be there, maybe you shouldn't be in this country."
What a whiny, crybaby, snowflake this man is. NOBODY should be forced to stand for the national anthem. That is the complete antithesis of what this country is supposed to be about. And to suggest they shouldn't be in the country if they don't is mind-boggingly stupid. And the fact that the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES is saying this is absolute and utter insanity.
This is probably the most un-American thing Trump has ever said. Can you imagine if Obama or any other President said something like this? Holy cow, there'd be blood running in the streets....
I can't wait until this man is dead and buried. There'll be a line of people waiting to pee on his grave, and as a true American I'll be there in my military uniform waiting to take my turn.

Nobody is forcing them to stand. They can quit playing, take a different job, and watch from home.
The snowflakes and crybabies are the folks who have a problem that the players are being told to stand BY THEIR EMPLOYER!
And their employer is doing it because THE CUSTOMER, i.e.: the fans, demand it.

But....they didn’t even do that.
Fact: No player on the Eagles took a knee during the national anthem during the 2017 regular season, post season or Super Bowl last season.
The photos being spun by conservative media are players kneeling to pray prior to the game and not during the national anthem.

Well, they clearly had some kind of problem with a WH visit for whatever reason. I really don't care the nitpicky details. Moral of the story seems to be don't try to make a fool of Trump as he does not just lie down like the George W. Bushes of the political world.
Quote: AZDuffmanAnd their employer is doing it because THE CUSTOMER, i.e.: the fans, demand it.
When the 2017 NFL season started very few players demonstrated during the National Anthem. A month into the season Trump made his comments that the NFL should fire any player who doesn't stand. For a few weeks after that a lot of players either knelt or stayed in the locker room and the NFL did the opposite of what Trump said he would have done. Then as the seasons progressed, fewer and fewer players demonstrated, until it was back to the beginning of the season levels.
There was virtually no difference in customer behavior in supporting of the product throughout the season despite huge swings in the number of players standing, sitting, or staying in the locker room.

It's becoming clear the WH was afraid only a small number of players would show up and this would somehow "embarrass" the President.
This has nothing to do with kneeling (as none of the Eagles kneeled during the National Anthem last season), and everything to do with Donald's frail ego.
a single 'beer summit' yet, for all the
racism he's accused of. You remember,
Racist in Chief Obama was forced apologize
to a cop for his racist remarks and he
had a beer summit at the WH so Obama
could kiss the cops ass in front of the
world.
If Trump's so racist, like Obama, how
come the press hasn't forced a single
ass kissing beer summit yet. Very odd.

Except behavior has changed. Ratings are down, and down over a down year. Anecdotally I can say that I have seen more people just no longer caring.
It is the kind of thing where it takes a few years to really notice, but when you do notice it is too late. From experience I can say that it is a little hard when you first tune out. Once it is a habit, it is really easy to not care. The NFL has decided they are embarrassed about having the working class white male as a fan. The working class white male is starting to oblige them and has been leaving.
I’m another thread on another forum someone said something like, “maybe they are trying to distract from the investigation on Russia and the White House colluding for ovechkin and the capitols to win the Stanley cup finals.”

Have no clue what you are talking about but the nice thing about the meetups is people of different views can meet up and be civil. And most on here are not afraid to show up and meet others they disagree with. But that still doesn't make us "righties" wrong about what we know is best for others. Simple, basic common sense.
I get you were homeless and on the street. The fact that you are where you are today shows anyone can come back from a bad situation. It just takes hard work and dedication which I believe from a distance you do every day.
Or you can blame Trump and believe Bernie and freebees will solve everything.
Quote: AZDuffmanExcept behavior has changed. Ratings are down, and down over a down year. Anecdotally I can say that I have seen more people just no longer caring.
The vast majority of National Anthem kneeling came at the end of September / beginning of October. Yet those weeks had higher ratings than November / December, when the kneeling was a lot less: http://www.sportsmediawatch.com/nfl-tv-ratings-viewership-nbc-cbs-fox-espn-nfln-regular-season-playoffs/
Quote: AZDuffmanIt is the kind of thing where it takes a few years to really notice, but when you do notice it is too late.
The ratings did drop overall in 2017 compared to 2016. But Colin Kaepernick was blackballed in 2017, whereas he was still an NFL quarterback taking a knee in 2016. Now that we have two full years of data, we're seeing that when management fights back against player protests, the ratings go down.
Were there any noteworthy National Anthem demonstrations in the NFL in 2015 or earlier?

How so.
"Barack Obama found himself in the middle of the ongoing debate over racial profiling when he gave divisive remarks after the arrest of Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. in his own home. Obama's image as a racial healer never recovered." Washington Post
Obama played the race card because he's
a racist. He was never seen as anything but
a racist after that, even though the press
tried to hide it. Obama was stunned that
his racist remarks were seen as racism (most
racists think they are 'normal') and he ordered
the humiliating beer summit to make him look
non racist. It didn't work.

Vote with your eyeballs. Tune the game out. Buy no tickets. Write the teams with your views.
Maybe they respond or maybe more customers like it in and you are just the guy who buys the McLean Deluxe.
