It was defending the border. Had they not attacked, they would still be alive. Do you not see it? The Palestinians DO NOT WANT PEACE. They want Israel destroyed. Israel left Gaza, and left behind many good greenhouses that could have provided food and jobs to the locals. The Palestinians smashed them to bits! Just because the Israelis built them! Hussein's history shows he surely would have used atomic weapons had he had them. He attacked 4 neighbor countries over his reign, all unprovoked. Now, a bomb and a weapon are two different things. The later is harder to make, but the former is a first step.

The beauty of Stuxnet is that it was set to self-destruct at a certain time to minimize or prevent this. It also helped destroy the Iranian program without a shot being fired. Sure, they can rebuild, but even a 10 year delay is a good thing.
