Anyone who doesn't call people NY'rs is an idiot
(see, I didn't break the rules there as I referred to an entire group of people)
As for the article - what he states is that, post-recession, American banks were not looking to loan money for golf courses - so they went to banks that would, and that, in your opinion, somehow leads to collusion?
Quote: IbeatyouracesLet's see your wife and see if she's any better.
That is about as insulting as one can get. It is much worse to insult a man's wife than to insult the man himself. If I were EB, I'd consider yours fighting words.
A perfectionist might argue the insult was of EB's wife, who isn't a forum member, but common sense dictates the insult was truly directed at EB.
Three-day suspension.

I stated that when he couldn't get financing, he turned to Russian sources. The link shows that. Where did I mention collusion?
What I believe, and have believed for years, even when Trump was a democrat, is that he is deeply involved in money laundering and graft on a spectacular scale. I can't believe he was egotistical enough to think he could run for president and not have this come out.
What makes this even more satisfying is that it was his own actions that lead to the Mueller investigation.

But you always seem fair to women, Ace.
I don't know what this is about.

Ahhh, duly noted -- however, if he had been laundering money for decades, don't you think one headstrong DA or AG in NY would;d've taken him down by now...?
Quote: billryanJust some food for thought.
In 1981, Trump was worth about half of what Warren Buffet was. He is now worth less than a tenth. That's after four bankruptcies and screwing over hundreds of thousands of stockholders and thousands of contractors.
Because being worth a tenth of Warren Buffet is something to be ashamed of in your world.
Your hatred of Trump is sad. If he would have bought companies like WB, you would still find fault with it.
Face it, unless someone is for Robin Hood politics of taking from successful, hard working people and giving it to those lazy who you consider victims, you are against them.

On the one hand they say Trump is so
stupid he can't tie his own shoes,
yet he is a mastermind criminal who's
evaded the authorities for decades
with his elaborate money laundering

To me, it just indicates he was never the biggest fish to be fried, or the biggest offender.. Only so many resources. Some people pile up of hundreds of parking tickets before someone catches up with them.
His university wasn't legit. If that's an example of the way he has been doing business for all this time, I wouldn't have high hopes about the rest of his business career if looked at in detail.
I think he has bought himself out of trouble with more likelihood than he was doing upright business deals the whole time.
But I could be wrong.

I retract and apologize for that specific statement about you. I reviewed your Vegace trip report, the sexual consent thread you started and your comments in this one. While there were dozens of insults and disparagements of women in your threads, you yourself only agreed with some of it and made a couple mildly misogynistic comments in the first two.
I had erroneously conflated your instigation and agreement on things with you actually saying them.
In the last one, you have made several disparaging comments about the left, but in a similar tone to many here on either side.
Quote:BeachBumBabs - I'm waiting...(oh yeah, and still waiting on the Avenatti gets to see the Feds criminal investigation documents link as well)
I heard the reports the day it happened. It was a Friday, maybe 4 - 5 weeks ago, Southern District of NY, I assume that's federal. The reports included Avenatti sitting there discussing how Cohen's lawyers and other parties tried to keep them (Avenatti/Daniels) out of court and out of the process, but they succeeded in suing for inclusion. The reason he was allowed in was because of the NDA and Cohen having some part in drafting/negotiating/signing/paying for it, and Daniels having some kind of atanding, even though he was not her attorney in 2016. To what depth of access, I don't know, but greater than the general public.
And that's really all I've said about it since the start. So you can stop flooding this thread about it, because I'm done with it. Find your own cites about it if you're that concerned.

Can you tell me another example of a rich person I hate? Of course not, because its some delusion you have that borders on obsession. I know lots of rich people. Damn, many of my fellow investors are ten or a hundred times richer than I am. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do to convince stupid people that their perceptions are wrong, but then again, I found out along time ago that dealing with dumb people is just a waste of time.
I lived in AC and saw what trump did to it. I lived in NY and heard plenty of stories, but in NY he was protected. I guess he thought being the Prez meant the Justice Dept couldn't come after him. Another dumb person with even dumber ideas.
Quote: aceofspadesAhhh, duly noted -- however, if he had been laundering money for decades, don't you think one headstrong DA or AG in NY would;d've taken him down by now...?
The AG for many years was a Republican, part of Pataki and Senator Potholes clic. Spitzer was looking into him when his shit exploded. The AG that just resigned was investigating him heavily, and I'm sure the office will continue. This isn't Democrat or Republican thing. The NYC Real Estate Developers are as crooked as the day is long, but as long as they were paying people off, nothing happened. Now Trump has opened up the whole kit and caboodle to the bright lights of a Federal Special Prosecutor.
The number one rule of business in NYC is Do Not Get The Feds Involved. Family matters get dealt with internally, there are plenty of friendly Judges and Captains, just don't bring the Feds in.
Avenatti said in one interview (its on youtube. I could find it but he did so many it would take awhile) that he had NO access to Muellers info and had put in requests for information that were denied
Also that he would like Cohen to refute these accusations by releasing his bank records (a way that Cohen could easily debunk where the money went and for what purpose) although he was certain Cohen would not do that. This means Avenatti most certainly does not have his bank records either
He also said he had requested SARs from Cohens banks and had been denied
Which leads us to the following conclusion: Avenatti received his info from a source he refuses to out but it is not the special prosecutors or the banks which makes this info no different than a news reporters gleaning of info
Now there are 2 outstanding things here:
1) the companies have admitted to the payments so the info was correct aside from a few minor discrepancies
2) immediately upon release many news organizations did their own digging AND were able to corroborate Avenattis documents as authentic. - Why is that important? Because if other news organizations could dig for the info to verify then its completely plausible Avenatti has similar access that is neither Mueller or the banks (unless you now propose that all the news organizations are accessing the special prosecutor and bank records - I highly doubt that)

OK, what makes you think he is "deeply involved in money laundering?" Where does it look like he concealed the source of cash by channeling it thru an intermediary?
Are you saying he had scores of people making losing bets at the AC casinos when he owned them?

Mueller has ordered seventy (70) subpeonas which are for 35 people (they come in duplicate) last week
We dont yet know who they are for
I dont know if you are only watching Fox or if you simply believe CNN and MSNBC are lying so not worth your time but if you really are just getting your news from republican leaning sites
You guys are gonna be scratching your heads why all of Trumps people are testifying
Yes I know Mueller hasnt served the subpeonas yet. I am willing to bet they are not for Hillary Clinton

All this time and money and all he has found is some silly trolling on FB! Mueller is a joke at this point, trying to find anything lest he look incompetent. What is the latest? That Trump has Russian Vodka at his resorts?

Of course not, she got the FBI to bury her criminal server. Helps when you have a stooge running the FBI on your side.

That's because Buffett is the greatest (legal) tax evader in the history of mankind. His company pays no dividends so all growth is shielded from the IRS until he sells a share. He pays himself a falsely low salary compared to his actual worth to his companies. If he wants to 'pay his fair share' then just have Berkshire Hathaway declare an annual 4% dividend. (I would surmise Trump is jealous of Buffet's success at avoiding the IRS)

Well when the subpeonas are handed out and trumps people are making their court appearances I suggest you go in front of the judge and let him know all that

This is the weirdest line of argument that righties continue to make:
James Comey was in the tank for Hillary.
In reality, NO ONE (including Putin, Russian trolls, Bernie, Trump, Hillary herself, etc.) is more responsible for Hillary's loss than Comey and his ill-timed letter.

Obama made a State visit to Puerto Rico. You know who never managed to get down there? Either of the Bush's, Reagan or any other Republican President since Herbert Hoover until trump. Just a coincidence, I'm certain.

Well, why not get it out there in the open - rather than finding out while on a first date - if political leanings are going to turn someone off then why waste time -- I am more than willing to have an open debate on things but, this email proves some people don't want to debate, they want to state their beliefs then BLOCK me from responding
