I'll probably be swinging by again sometime over the weekend; I'll see if there's any literature on-site on the off-chance that the site is outdated or something.
Quote: 100xOddscant be $2 coin-in for vp is it's '.10 in theo = 1 tier point'.
that's only $40k coin-in for Gold.

hm.. TropLaughlin is only 10k points for Gold
This sounds wrong to me too, but I was just at TropLaugh testing on a 5c/3hand JoB VP unit, and the countdown was based on 20; 1$/point seems unusually low for VP, but it was a 7/5 game.
I ran down 20 hands and got the expected 15 points when I checked a kiosk.
Also, maybe I have low standards, but their buffet is surprisingly decent for the price, when BOGO.
don't understand what is 20; 1$/point ?Quote: VenthusThis sounds wrong to me too, but I was just at TropLaugh testing on a 5c/3hand JoB VP unit, and the countdown was based on 20; 1$/point seems unusually low for VP, but it was a 7/5 game.

$20 coin-in = 1 point???
Quote: 100xOdds$0.10 in theo = 1 tier point?!?!
20k tier points for Gold.
so $2k in theo.
if playing 9/6 JoB (99.5%), then $2k/.5% = $400k coin-in?!?!?!
that's awful!
I guess it was slot players who voted for best Player Clubs Awards
I usually play a combination of Baccarat (or mini), Blackjack, some slots, and very occasional roulette. I usually have a 1K Bankroll per Day (which I divy up between the three games every play day, trying to make it so most of my slot play is with free money). I always reach Gold (20k Points) every day with under 4 hours of actual gambling, since I like their clubs and such mostly , (though I play for when I do play aggressively, usual max hand I can afford and highest slot machine I can afford, so I do not know how that breaks down, if anything I would think that would count against me since it lowers my hours played). I find reaching both Gold and Platnium at the Tropicana easy (I do not think my account at that casino has ever been under gold since I was in college, even with limited money). But, the main reason I like it, is because the awards are very good. 100 Free Slot Dollars every day 7 days a week. Free Suites 4 Days a Week, Free Parking of any type, and free vouchers for pretty much any buffet or Trop owned restaurant, but they usually give you enough Comp Dollars that you can eat anywhere you want anyway, and free entry to all NightClubs in the Casino. Some of those offers may vary between players, but most are standard for all Gold Players, and years you reach Platinum, it is even more.
Anyway I have never calculated the math. but I have never had an issue getting 20k points and close to 100 comp dollars (and various amount of rebate bounceback dollars) everyday. And, their online site gives you points and comp dollars to your Trop account as well for playing online (though at a lesser rate than casino play, but they also have additional separate promotions for online play).
Also, I never said it was the best as far as financial, but I find the rewards are the best at all levels, even at Green, they give out free rooms and shows most months. I like it compared to all the others. CET, is very stingy and too corporate. Resorts is OK, but their casino does not offer that much, similar review of Golden Nugget. Borgata I also like, but you said to rule them out. MGM is not open yet, but that may go the same path as CET with rewards. Trop feels more personal with offers tailored more towards your interests and very good players lounges.
thx.Quote: VenthusThe machine has a little readout that counts down to your next point; considering it decremented by 15 each time, based on a count of 20 (so 20, 5, 10, 15, 20...), I assume it's counting number of credits remaining. Resulting in 1$ per point.
7/5 JoB = 96.1% = 3.9% HE
at .05 3play, you're doing .75 per spin.
so based on the count going down 15 each spin, it's $1 coin-in per tier point as you said.
$1/3.9% = 25 countdown
at 5% he, the count would be 20.
so I guess Trop has that machine set at 5% theo.

Why are you so hung up on theo. They dont set their points based on theo. A 7/5 job and 8/5 job would cout down the same. The important thing is to figure out how much $ per point and go from there.
AS FAR AS TABLE GAMES, the offical WEBSITE says:Quote: GWAEWhy are you so hung up on theo.
"Receive 10 Tier Points for every $1 in Theoretical earned at Table Games."
But that is for table games. REELS and VP are based on coin-in, at least based on the website.
Most distinctly, copper and gold are at 1k/10k in Laughlin and 4k/20k in AC. Their literature is also different; I may have missed it on my phone, but TropAC doesn't have that jot about theo on tables, whereas Laughlin does.
Update: I JUST asked the club desk at TropLaughlin and they said that the new tier threshold for gold is 5k, down from 10k, and they haven't updated the pamphlets yet. It's still 1$/pt on slots and VP, according to the machine readout. No idea if the perks are the same, like the free cruise at gold+.
Quote: VenthusPart of the issue at hand is that TropAC and TropLaughlin have some distinctly different elements, despite sharing clubs. (The original [as far as that goes, in a CET DL thread...] bit was about TropAC mostly.)

Does TropLaughlin share the players club with TropAC? What about Vegas?
If you're trying to make a tier, it's worth scouting not just by machine, but by property, and traveling somewhere. I don't see why that wouldn't be true for Trop properties as well, though I don't know their system.

I never would have guessed they would put theo om their website. How is that even possible? Like in craps every bet has a different theo. I guess they can average it but then I could argue against it.
the biggest benefit I see for Gold is the free Carnival cruise.Quote: beachbumbabsI don't fully understand theoretical and algorithms in setting comp levels, but in case anybody doesn't know it and from personal experience, CET has different equivalencies for both TC and RC earning depending on the property. Some of it (RC, mostly), seems to be by local budget and needs, some of it must be (speculating) with the blessing of corporate structure. After all, they have to honor your single tier score no matter where you earned it.

but if it's like Caesars, you have to pick it up at the casino.
while 5k points for Gold at Tropicana Laughlin is great, I have to fly there.
where as I can drive to TropAC.
thus doing the 20k points at TropAC is more practical for me.
10K at Trop Laughlin for GOLD, I think:Quote: 100xOddswhile 5k points for Gold at Tropicana Laughlin is great, I have to fly there.

TropAC and TropLaugh are the same company and I'd assume so. Tropicana Las Vegas is Penn National, probably best known for Hollywood (the brand, not location) and The M.

"Just" in this case being Jan7. She also said they adjusted/are soon adjusting the card duration to last a year, as opposed to the current six months. Home at last, for better or for worse, so I won't be able to check for more specifics for... oh... at least a week or two.
If it's a major issue though, like flying out, I'd recommend calling just to make sure I wasn't given faulty info though.

According to the 2017 info page, you just call them and give them your info. No special docs or codes required, just the requisite tier.

The thing to remember is that CET will always change. Parasites always mutate to stay ahead of their prey.
Many of the advantages are illusory anyway, bragging rights based on stars may go far in some lounge area or check-in area but they don't go very far at the cashier's window. And that is just about the only place in Vegas where things really count.
I've been thinking about converting my play/lodging over to MLife. But as far as I can tell, there is no automatic waiving of the resort fees on any MLife tier. I typically generate enough play each trip to have a host waive them anyway, but does anybody have experience with MLife properties and resort fees? Are they automatically waived for any tier and just not listed as a benefit on the website?
If CET is constantly shaving away its benefits to you, then go to MLife even its its thru a host rather than some guarantee on a website of rules and regulations. It sounds like the break, booze and finger food are sufficiently meaningful to you that its going to be costly for you to stay with CET.Quote: Steverinos. was at TropAC. Lost $500 on 8/5 BP.
the machine did not have a countdown, nor even a score readout.
it's one of those old "All Star Poker" machines from like 15yrs ago:
http://toplineslotmachines.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/All-Star-Poker.jpg
I had to goto a kiosk to find out my points.
only got like 300 points.
so I'm guessing what the TropAC website says about 10 points for every $1 in theo is true.
based on my $500 loss for so little points, it's slots AND tables. not just tables like in TropLaughlin.
I asked the club desk if you get points on tables at all, and she said that you do, but it doesn't count towards giveaways/events/etc, and it doesn't show up on the kiosk's readout because people got confused(?). You do get tier points and spendable points though.
Incidentally, I'll probably be heading to GNLaughlin tomorrow; anything anybody wants me to check in about?
Does anybody know if Caesars is implementing the 25k tier credits for lounge access after March 31st? Or have they already made the change?
I have absolutely no complaints.

I thought I read somewhere that they were phasing it in after March 31st, but I can't find that off-hand. I think it was something along the lines of if I earned 3000 (maybe 5000 ?) Tier Credits, I could still get into the Diamond Lounge up until June 1st.
Yeah, that's what I remembered, I think. So we are "grandfathered" for our trip in March, and if we get back, Mrs Q has 2Q18 covered as well. After that, you probably won't bump into us anymore at the Diamond Lounge watering hole. ;-(Quote: Venthusthey're putting in 6/12/18/25k limits that you have to reach by the end of a quarter to access it for the next period. That is, you have until the end of March to get 6k to have access from Apr-June. 25k and you have it for all of 2019.
