I also concurred that two people within minutes begging her for player's card points was a bit out of hand. She said something like,"I know, right? It's really none of my business that they lost their money chasing the gift. Enough is enough! " I have empathy for her,as later a guy kept telling me to up my bet from $1 and start hitting REAL bets like $4 a spin.
I politely told him I was okay at $1 and did not want to risk losing my money at $4 a hit. He said something like, "You're risking losing your money anyway at only $1! He then suddenly went into sob story mode talking about how the slots raked him of his hard earned money and began cussing like a sailor and staring at my machine as I played. I pointedly told him,"There is another copy of this machine on the other side of the casino," trying to get him to get away from me. I also was tallking in annoyed , snappy,"Yeah!" tones. It should have been clear that I did not want this guy talking to me. He said,"I'd rather watch you play." Okay, creepy. I pointedly said,"I am not comfortable with peoople watching as I play." He went to a nearby machine, playing, but still constantly looking at my machine and still telling me to up my bet and talking about how badly the slots raked him . I finally began to start to tell him off. "Sir, you need to stop being creepy and leave me alone!" He finally took the hint and went to another place. He came back a few minutes later still telling me to up my bet and talking about how badly the slots raked him. I said,"Look sir, I've told you to leave me alone! I am going to start reporting you if you don't get away from me!" He left and later came back. I basically ignored him and he finally left me alone for the whole night. Sorry for the long rant but that really bugged me and I can see how the woman felt. No one wants to feel harrassed at a casino when they are just trying to have a good time on the slots.

What state do you play in again where this is happening?
Quote: FleaStiffState of imagination.
Not really. In NYS it is quite frequent at certain casinos due to a propensity for same day gift for points earned offers. The spiel about losing money is just that. Almost certainly they were pros doing it daily earning points AND freeplay without investment. Thats why the first person said he would bother someone else when he recognized the lady
Resorts world in queens ny forces all players go earn points even to obtain their monthly offers

IIRC there was a bus beggar and others as well.
I think Dean was often hassled for money or magazines or something like that as well.
You know what they say about leopards and spots.

It's uncanny! I read the writings of both and they're style is so similar. Kentry = Nathan
They seem to have the same mentality, personality, adventures, stories and lifestyles. However, I think Nat suggested he had enough money for a professional haircut.Quote: SiegfriedRoyIt's uncanny! I read the writings of both and they're style is so similar. Kentry = Nathan

I just compared the two and i dont see it. The topics are only superficially similar(and i hav similar stories myself) and the writing certainly looks different. Kentry has much shorter paragraphs that are more concise while nathan has long jumbled paragraphs that ramble for a mile
There hav been instances where people came up with very similar material even while living on opposite continents and didnt know it (hunger games and its japanese equivalent come to mind)
EDIT: Battle Royale is the japanese film. Most people think one plagiarized off the other. Both creators say they didnt know about the other version while writing

Your LSM score is 0.89
Compared to other general writing samples that we have analyzed, your LSM score is far above average. To give you an idea, most LSM scores for general writing samples range between .60 and .90, with the average being around .78. The more the authors of the two samples are thinking in similar ways, the higher the LSM.

That was just one Nathan/Kentry comparison sample. I bet if we compared all of "their" posts, it would say...Your LSM score is... 110% DUH!!!
I guess i had an interest in the topic as years ago i got my start earming players points by sliding my card into people's slots (with their permission. It became an art form kind of a dry hustle)

In my local casino, the player's card becomes inactive after about 5 minutes of no play theoretically to prevent players "stealing" points and free play by letting non player's card members unsuspectingly give them points and free play.
Maybe you could try feeding it Tuesday samples of medium-rare AxelWolf leftovers compared to a doggie bag of well-done AxelWolf that was cooked on Thursday, and DrawingDead vs. DrawingDead, to see how well it thinks Axel knows his Wolf, and whether it says Drawing should be Dead. After all, you know I wouldn't be the first guy to fictitiously die in forumland and stage a resurrection as a fraudulent virtual self.Quote: AxelWolfI ran across that a while ago, but I think that's the first time I used it. If it says I am probably not me, then Nathan should probably report me for some kind of casino player card abuse scam by the notorious scoundrel crew of me and not so me, both going around racking up points on the same card. But I will still claim I'm Kentry, and sweet.

Yea ive seen that too but not in nys. Wouldnt hav stopped me. I had developed a dry hustle. Walk up to a person playing e-roulette and announce 8-10 numbers. Stategically these r numbers all around the wheel so the ball is gonna land somewhere near. Then exclaim how u knew the ball was gonna land near the number. Hype the player up till he believes u might hav some spidey sense going on then ask if u can dip ur card in since his points r going to waste
If he refuses then he just lost his new best friend lol
You would be surprised how often this worked

Hey! The most harrassing thing I have done is tell people that they should hit the left button rather than the repeat button, as the repeat button is dangerously close to Max Bet. Hitting the left button on most machines eliminates any chances of hitting max bet by mistake. Only Fu Da Le, Good Fortune and Da Ji Da Li have max bet buttons on both sides, I think. Those rascally slot manufacturers know what they did when they put max bet button about an inch away from repeat bet. ;)
I remember a Youtube slot player named Diana Evoni lost $600 in a row on just 2 very bad spins. She thought she hit "Repeat bet," twice, but she accidentally hit "max bet, " twice on a $1 machine, Pharaoh's Fortune, she meant to only risk $40 in those two ill fated machines, but accidentally risked $600($300 a hit). Ouch. :( She said something like, "Gosh, I just lost $600 on two spins I didn't even want to max bet on! There went my money!" I felt so bad for her. :(
A commentor said,"The slot should have a warning saying,"Holy crap! Your bet is $300! Are you sure you want to go through with this very high bet?" The response was,"Slot manufacturers would never be that nice! They are hoping and wanting you to make a huge mistake like that! They want your money! ";)
Luckily, she got a bonus, and she said something like,"This bonus better give me back my $600 I lost on those 2 bad accidental spins! I want my $600 back!" I was thinking,"No way or at the very least, it is very highly unlikely that she is going to win $600 on a $20 bonus! She won a pleasant surprise of like $540! She was ecstatic. She said,"I am only $60 down from those horrible ill fated two accidental max bet spins! I got most of the money back! I'm happy! "
The commentators congratulated her on recuperating most of the $600 back! Some commentators said, "The bonus should have happened during one of the accidental max bet spins! You would have won thousands of dollars!" Some people have to be the spoilsport party pooper! ;)
Quote: darkozHopefully that clears things up. Anyone making kentry accusations now not only has specious proof but is going against ip proof... And is trolling
Thank you Darkoz. I appreciate your support in this. It means a lot to me. :)
Quote: MobcasinosI have seen similar scene like that in a casino. Some guy are just hitting the girl and hoping to have some good night gift from the girl ,I know it's not my business but if it's annoying for someone you see that being sexually harassed.
I remember a woman saying she felt harrassed and insultedwhen some man older than her father demanded she go to his room and have sex with him. She said something like"I am in my 40's wearing a business suit. Why would he assume I am a promiscuous slut that would just have sex with a random guy I literally just saw seconds ago?" This is when the service/reporting button comes in especially handy.

Sorry, but this post has just reinforced my vague feeling that 'advantage player' has been a feel good self created title for scamy activities going on under the radar of casinos and guests alike.
I'm not feeling good about this revelation if it's even half right.
Sorry for being so naive. Kind of a self respect thing that I probably don't grasp completely.
But whatever floats everybody's boat. Maybe I shouldn't go to casinos because I'm the kind of person that will tell somebody to come back and finish their multi's.
I didn't get to Sarnia, so I don't know how I'd feel trying to vultch anyways. I think I should try at least once, then I'd know where I'd stand. But I have a feeling I already know.

It was a hustle but i dont consider it scamy. If all ur neighbors were throwing away cereal boxtops and u asked them to giv the points to u and u would claim the free gifts would u feel u were scamming
The point hustling at casinos is no different
I remember one player laughing at my pitiful hustle as i madr points off his play. He said i was a fool for wasting time earning such small profit. Later over a comp meal his play had earned me i laughed at how his loss of thousands of dollars had helped me earn a few hundred. Who was the fool?
I'm trying to see your point. But this is going off topic a little as we're getting into the reasons for hustles, not what ploys are annoying.Quote: darkozIt was a hustle but i dont consider it scamy. I'm going to address this post, but if this keeps angling away I'll start another thread if it gets interesting.
First point, I think your example is a poor one. People have thrown stuff away into their garbage meaning they were done with it, even though they probably knew about the box top toys or some other very useless thing offered. In the casino, hustling the people who play the games is not hustling the casino. The return from the multi's is not a whistle or cheap plastic toy, but real money.
And to me a hustle is every bit a scamy act as one is attempting to take something of value from another by dubious means. The casino is using every means, even questionable, to take something of value from the guests, our money. A casino IS a hustler. A guest who can figure our ways to game a machine itself on it's own terms by knowing the odds and such and is not using someone else points or left over specials is thus hustling the casino in certain ways. I have absolutely no problems with that. Even when a player notices a game error and wins with that. Ooops, too bad for the casino, they should have been paying attention.
A guest gaming other guests is scamy, no matter what the title. A guest gaming the casino is considered a criminal no matter what they're doing. If my friend and I are playing and he sticks his card in my machine with my permission, I don't see a problem with that as we both know whats going on, the casino on the other hand would have a problem with that. Are we hustling the casino. Yes. Are we scamy for this? Only to the casino.
Now if my friend reaches over and sticks his card into some oblivious old ladies machine next to him and the pulls it before she notices or something like that, that certainly is a scamy act which no one, casino or guests would condone. Except for certain AP's? Even typing that last sentence doesn't seem right.
I now think back at all the times when I'd find a card in my machine, mostly after a few plays, and since I didn't even pay attention, or even knew or cared what they were, I'd just pull it and throw it between machines. Almost always they were gone in minutes. How many meals and money did I provide to losers who scam people? I'm the best mark because I wasn't even looking at player card slots or nothing. So, I suppose the hustlers would call me the loser. Like when the crack head at the corner calls me a loser for not giving him some money to help him out. Seriously?
I really don't think these kinds of acts should even be in the same sentence as AP. When I first came on this website I had a different concept of what a AP is. I think an AP is someone gaming the casino's themselves, mostly using their minds and observance and deeper knowledge of the mechanics and odds of machines. People who hustle people, use outside mechanical devices and maybe even teams who dominate a row of machines, and thus preventing regular guests from using the machines, should not, in my opinion be included under an AP umbrella.
I see no difference between hustling and a scam act.

As casinos state it is the players responsibility to make sure their players card is registered in the machine. If u played without noticing someone else card was in the slot u hav urself to blame. But u WERE earning comps going to waste regardless. Playing unrated or with someone else card in the machine
Your argument then is u would prefer to play without anyone earning those comps not that someone scammed u out of them. If u were placing ur card in properly that wouldnt happen. Meanwhile playing unrated while someone could earn those comps is very much like throwing away boxtops. The garbage may not be a physicak trashcan but please dont fault a hustler that is savvy enough to retrieve your unwanted comps
There are hustles and then there r scammy hustles. My primary concern is with legal hustles which comp huslting falls under
Btw using a mechanical device to ap is not hustling nor ap its cheating under the law something i dont do
I dont see why u think getting points off someone else play is hustling the player if they giv hav chosen not to use a players card themselves
To be scamming a player i would need to be taking something from them. If they dont use their players card they dont get comped regardless in that situation they r not losing anything as i am just taking what they dont want
Btw i never snuck my card in while someone was playing. Either i left my card in the machine and someone sat down or i asked if i could put the card in (90% of the time people didnt care and said it was fine)
I also find your assesment about cereal gifts not equating incorrect. Both cereal companies and casinos giv freebies for points earned by customer purchases. Your argument that the casino results in money versus toys means u only find it a poor comparison because of the physical gift not the fact that the rewards program is run very much the same
I dont kno why people feel gifts are okay but money is not. Seems very self
Righteous to decry it is a scam if money is thr bottom line but not toys or souvenirs. Companies determine what type of gifts they wish to give. Wit the casino it just happens to b freeplay most of the time
