Tough business to be starting in today's climate for papers. Even with a strong online presence, you need ad dollars. If they are people who didn't like SA, I'm assuming it will have a left leaning slant, again limiting your market.

But as an old time newspaper junkie who loves both the RJ and the Sun, I look forward to checking it out.

Ok, read their mission and they are saying they are Non profit and are lead by Jon Ralston. He is a huge lefty but he knows Nevada Politics better than anyone. He has the cred to make it work with stories other may not get. They are not accepting ads and are looking for donations from members.

It's worth reading for that reason alone. So many major websites serve those ridiculous Outbrain ads for eye bag relief or mortgage refinancing or "Top five ways to cure depression, and you won't BELIEVE number two."
