I am guessing you are naive enough to think that our government is looking out for the interests of the country and not those in power. There is little doubt that there was pressure to let Hillary off the hook for her email fiasco. For all the pomp, bluster, and Chicken Little-ism, you know what the bad man Obama passed in his 8 years? He got Social Security to declare SSDI benefits for mentally disabled to add to the background check list, he allowed for Amtrak passengers to check guns in luggage, erasing an anti-terrorism policy,, and he allowed for carrying in National Parks, a right that Reagan had previously stripped.
Approx half a million of us are now meant to turn in a hundred million dollars worth of property, without compensation, under threat of imprisonment or death. All because of the executive pen of one Donald J Trump.
