Quote: SteverinosConsidering that the economy historically does better under democratics
Somebody should have told Obama's
'new normal', lol.. Problem is, they
can't point to anything specidic
Dems did to make the econmy
better. And it only goes back a
paltry 60 years.
Another Princeton economist, the noted liberal Nobel laureate Paul Krugman, wrote in his New York Times column that Blinder and Watson looked at various explanations and “found all of them wanting. There’s no indication that the Democratic advantage can be explained by better monetary and fiscal policies. Democrats seem, on average, to have had better luck than Republicans on oil prices and technological progress.”
This is what makes Trump so different.
He told us what he would do and we
can point to exactly what he did to
make the economy boom. Wrote better
trade deals, got rid of bad ones, got
rid of Obama's stifling EPA regs that
were strangling the economy.
He waved the 'magic wand' that Obama
joked he didn't have.

I have no problem with free IDs for people who don't otherwise have a valid ID.
Though I don't like the way some people vote, I am for every eligible person being able to vote during the designated voting period.
I don't like the idea of "ballot harvesting"--looking for folks who requested an absentee ballot that have yet to return it who just happen to be in the correct party and then contacting them to get their ballot in. If they can't make the effort themselves to get the ballot in with such a low bar to do so--merely having to call someone to pick it up--then they don't vote. Just the same as people who don't make the effort to vote. If I tell someone that I will pick up their ballot for them I may also be telling them how to vote...or even voting for them.

Are you ok with a non-traditional designated in-person voting periods, such as two days or an entire week? I'll qualify that even if that happened, the voting period would have to be consistent across all precincts for that election.

Someone picking up absentee ballots is why a new election has been ordered in North Carolina.
You pointed out a couple of problems with that, telling them how to vote, voting for them.
Someone could also fail to deliver ballots marked in a way they didn't like, or intentionally overvote some races to spoil the ballot, or fill in undervotes with their own choices.

Yes, as long as it is uniform, as you suggest. There is a cost issues, which is why early voting sites cover more precincts than election day sites...so I am not sure "how long" the period should be.
Quote: Dalex64Someone picking up absentee ballots is why a new election has been ordered in North Carolina.
Yes, but I think it is okay in California but not in NC.

Making sure the person voting is eligible to vote and actually doing the voting themselves is the cornerstone of a fair election.

The guy who wrote The Art of the Deal with
Trump, in order to understand Trump, he
spent a lot of time silently observing him in
his business dealings. He would hear a Trump
conversation with someone on the phone,
Trump would tell him what it was about, and
later the other person would tell a totally
different story. Trump usually embellished
the story to make himself look better out
of habit.
So in a way he is a con man, but a con man who

No impact on your life? 30,000,000 illegal immigrants, and more coming each month, have no positive or negative influence on anything in you life?
Interesting. Good or bad, I am willing to bet that they do even if you don't see it.
