Much like I enjoyed Paul Harvey's "The rest of the story," I have enjoyed reading Kentry's stories. I am offering a thread to make a place for Kentry to provide his observations on life and his experiences in the gambling world.

Is there any room left in my blocked

Well, I'm feeling disgusted that I lost roughly half my paycheck in slots recently. That was a really bad run for me.

Do you feel disgusted enough not to do that again?

Kentry,
If you are in any way 'for real'*, why are you gambling?
You do know that you are losing money that you cannot afford while developing an addiction to doing so?

Have you tried flushing money down the toilet, or maybe burning it or maybe... wow... giving it to charity?

Or do you maybe dream of being a winner? That's not going to happen.

*I'm pretty convinced that Kentry is a fabricated alter ego of another mischievous member, Nonetheless losers like him do exist in reality, so let's reach out to them by replying to him.
Psalm 25:16 Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. Proverbs 18:2 A fool finds no satisfaction in trying to understand, for he would rather express his own opinion.

I know that I never ever want to lose half my paycheck again into slots. I could have done so many things with half my paycheck. Can't believe I did that. So shameful and disgusting.

If you are serious, which I will give you benefit of the doubt, please listen to the others who have told you to stay AWAY from casinos. My guess is you work very hard for that money. So stop throwing it away!

No. But seriously !!! Monthly ???

Why do you gamble?
and a new question: Why are you paid so little? Do you only work an hour a day or something? Are you maybe some sort of apprentice?

I assumed it was a week or around $26K a year. 40 hour week for someone making $12 an hour. If it is by bi weekly, it must be Part Time or an Obamacare created 30 hour work week.

Most non-professionals get paid every other week.

Kentry next time before you go to the casino, think to yourself how many hair cuts you can get with $250. Then put the money in a piggy bank and only use it for hair cuts. After a few paychecks of saved money, you'll have plenty of hair cut money to last you a long time.

My paycheck is every other week. One of my more mature sisters also pointed out that roughly $250 is a lot of haircut money.

.

I have a weekly payroll for my employees. It costs a little more to file, but it is a selling point to many employees and in the restaurant business, competition for quality non drug addicted employees is tight. Anyone who wants to work in this business is working and those without jobs are mostly unemployable, at least in my area. So any little thing you can do to attract and keep quality EE's helps.

Not that this has anything to do with the subject (Kentry) at hand.

Kentry,

In your most recent thread, you stated that most gamblers are going to start boycotting casinos...

"This is my theory that Gamblers are most likely going to boycott Casinos in the immediate future for being so damn tight lately. There have been lots of complaints from Gamblers on how they are honestly no longer enjoying the Casinos due to how tight they have gotten recently.

In fact, many Gamblers have already started boycotting Casinos in recent months according to a Gambling website. On my recent Casino trips, there aren't many happy faces. More and more Gamblers have frowns and scowls on their faces, or have neutral, blank expressions whereas just a few years ago, many more Gamblers were smiling happily. The downfall of casinos is imminent if they don't loosen up more slots."

You make open ended statement without citing sources. Are you sure that the unhappy faces were because it was time to leave, received a sad phone call, received a bad haircut, maybe mom was mad at them....... I think McCarren airport had a record year. I think CET is close to coming out of bankruptcy. I think observations may be subjective to the observer without taking in the whole picture.

I do know I had my best (earning) year in Vegas in my life. I could be wrong but dour faces will not turn me away from gambling.
