What if a new topic was created to give all banned members to post in. Kind of like a banned members playpen. They could be restricted to only playing in their own playpen and earn their way back to full membership?

It is a Novel idea. Will a soft ban versus a hard ban matter? Soft ban is a minor offense, like someone getting banned because they cussed in a thread or pushed their own product on here. A hard ban is someone getting banned because they harrassed posters.

I think People who get suspended should have to pay a fee to a charity they hate or something before they come back. I believe Mickey C agreed to something like this but he went for it big on his last tirade. I think the whole idea of banning members if they proved they couldn't post on a forums. For either trolling, spamming links, selling systems, etc... If you let them post then all the bots would post their spam links all day in that thread. I foresee that thread being a disaster =P. I like the out of the box thinking, but on to the next idea ;).

We have quite a few banned members over at DT
The rule is you cant discuss the circumstances regarding your ban at DT
Buzzard is over at DT but he doesn't post much
We had B9 over at DT but he just continued to insult people so he got nuked from DT also.

Once again, soft bans should be forgiven easily.(cussing and pushing their own products) A hard ban should only be forgiven if they are truly sorry and don't do it again(They harassed posters)

Hmmmm, deleting my original thought on this.
New thought, this thread is possibly the worst idea ever. Right up there with thinking you can DI. Nuked members are nuked because ownership doesn't want their "business". Why would they want to give them a place to talk?
Expect the worst and you will never be disappointed.
