I am grateful to all those that fought to give me these freedoms and all those that fight to continue to protect these freedoms that I enjoy and make living my dream possible.
God Bless America.

Agree 100%! Happy 4th, everyone! Time to celebrate & appreciate what we have in the USA! (And blow stuff up!)
Plenty of time for squabbling next week! :)
Seems you are in the minority among Democrats in this new poll. Regardless of the differences many of us on both sides have with each other, I am still proud of this country.....now if we are talking about if I am proud of many Americans....DIFFERENT STORY...and I'm sure many feel the same way about me.
Anyways, Happy 4th!!

On this day, reading your post, the only thing I see is the final line. Today I couldn't give a rat's ass about what democrats and/or republicans say or think. Today, I don't even care about blackjack spreads, ramps, heat, nor tolerance levels, nor even expected value.
For me today is about Hotdogs, hamburgers, even pizza and some 'tall-house cookies' that my mother showed me how to bake last night. :) And of course a few beer and spending some good times with my friends and family with some fireworks on the agenda for later on and appreciating all those that gave and protect my freedoms and gave me the opportunity to have such an enjoyable day.
But I return your Happy 4th wish with sincere hope for your happiness whatever that may entail.
As if you didn't already know how to bake and sew (-;Quote: kewljOn this day, reading your post, the only thing I see is the final line. "Extremely Proud" and "Very Proud" still constitute the large majority (over 80%). And "Moderetaley Proud" brings it well over 90%.
"Only a little" and "not at all" is only 5%.
So I guess it depends on how proud makes you proud. I'm not sure how big of a divide there is between "very" and "extremely", but both sound pretty good. And, "moderately" does not sound bad.
I am not sure how the level of pride is felt, but obviously it is highly subjective based on the individual. And, those in power and their actions may take a toll on some.
I would say I am extremely proud, there is nowhere else in the world that I would rather live, and not because of geography or climate (because based on those two things there are many places I would rather live). But, because America has the best blend of capitalism and government oversight in the world. There are few other countries in the world where you can carry weapons in public, say whatever you want, publish whatever you want, have a choice in all sorts of matters from healthcare to education. America was the greatest country in the world upon its founding, and it still is today, it has always been a secular bastion of freedom, that has helped forge the free world and western values.
Happy 4th of July!
BOTH of my parents served in WW II, but stateside. SALUTE to those still serving, whether overseas or not !

LOL. You and your stereo-typing.
I don't bake, although I could see myself doing a little more of it. I do love baked goods and up til now that means I know where all the yummy bakeries are.
I do very little cooking beside making toast or heating pizza in microwave. That's what restaurants are for.
I don't know how to sew at all. If something need to be sewn, it is time to replace it.
I don't like shopping. Much prefer sports.
And, No, I don't drive a Mazda Miata. Although my primary vehicle is a Prius, so I don't know how far I have moved the bar on that one. My second car is a Jeep Wrangler. Does that score me any manly car point?
Cakes are add water, egg, and oil, mix and throw in the oven. 5 min to make, 40 or so to bake. Cool and frost from the can.
Cookies even easier; great cookie dough sold in buckets you can freeze and bake fresh a dozen at a time. 5 min to make, 10 min to bake.
Lots of more difficult recipes out there, of course, but not insurmountable. That will get you started.
Happy birthday, America!
Where are the best fireworks in Vegas?

lol...
Try the ones with puddin' in the mix. Or, better yet, add vanilla pudding mix to a golden cake. Ridiculously good that way. Needs a bit of extra water.
The 4th came, and the 4th has now gone.
I hope everyone enjoyed theirs.
I turned on the news bout 1800 East Coast time.
Same old arguments, that was good, no 'breaking news'.
I put out my flag this morning.
It got rained on.
The temps were a bit cooler today.
That was also good.
I lit some fairly big mortar shells tonight.
I love fireworks.
That was after coming home from watching the really big ( professional )) display right down the street at the fancy country club.
I watched from across the street, from the public middle school parking lot.
Was very big, very loud, very close, and very free.
Tomorrow is another day, hopefully another good day.
Take them one day at a time, it actually is already tomorrow for me as I post.
Either you gotta love this country, or you should leave this country.
I remain, I'm Two Feathers.
