I'm down. Not going to say how much. And yes, Ibeatyouraces saw how much I was betting and I'm actually betting even more now trying to make back my losses. I know that's bad, and it's probably against one of the Wizard's commandments, but hey, it's all in good fun, right?

From what I'm assuming they're comping me based on how much I'm betting.

By the way, anyone care to guess how much my bill at Joël Robuchon was last night? No cheating. I'll give you this much: I had a several course meal with wine pairing. Whoever guesses closes to the total with tax and 20% tip wins. I'm still assuming they're comping it!! (Minus the tip, of course)

$210.86.

By the way, how long does everyone have to guess? You should have made a Rule invoking some kind of minimum spread from previous guesses. If someone else guesses $210.85, and then another person guesses $210.87, then I can't possibly win without being exactly right.

The Price is Right way might be more fair: Closest without going over.

Am I going to win a new tax car?

26 Days and counting now...

Decided to stay till tomorrow. Spent a couple days at the pool here at the Mirage then spent the next several hours at the spa and salon here. Got a nice 80-minute massage and got my nails done. Used the spa facilities but wish I had more time.

In regards to the dinner cost question I'll announce it tomorrow when I leave. Whoever is closest wins and if it's a tie then there will be two winners.

Interesting...two posts, one attacking a member over a long trip to Vegas and one defending a failed business venture involving at least one person some members had previous trouble with.

Why do I have a feeling you won't be around the board long? Got anything good to say?

If i was anywhere for 30 days away from my home I would go nuts, but at the same time, Vegas is a place that I can always find something to do. There are many great little day or half-day trips in the Las Vegas Valley that are fantastic to take, and I always wind up taking on whether I am there for 3-4 days or over a week. And I do need those when I go to Vegas, just to get away from the strip a bit. And if I didn't need those getaways I would live downtown in my local market instead of out in the burbs. I am glad she is having fun however. Good for her.

Decided to stay one more day cause I was down a lot yesterday and glad I stayed cause I won $50,000 today!!! I'm actually on the bus right now on my way home. Very sad about this but oh well, after 28 days in Vegas I gotta get back to reality at some point.

I have to say though that I had the time of my life. My host at the Mirage took care of everything. And I even met Kathy Griffin today in the High Limit Slots room! Too cool.

To answer the question about how much my entree at Joël Robuchon was, it came out to $960 with tip. Unbelievable. Definitely the most expensive meal I've ever had!!

Well come on H-B, $49,200 of 50K is on BJ. That's basically one game, although not one session.

What are you able to share with us about that BJ run? card counting? hole carding? or other advantage? What betting levels? Any specifically 'fortunte' hands, like a triple split with 2 doubles or anything?

Did this final day, put you in the black for the trip or close the gap or what? Can't really close the book because there should be some nice offers including free play and BJ coupons coming as a result of this play.

Thanx for sharing your extended trip and experiences.

It was just pure luck. I don't want to say how much I was betting but as teddys knows I double my original bet when I get a BJ, when it's a new shoe or it's a new dealer just for fun (it's not something I consider a betting strategy). The last 2 days before this I lost tons of money so was feeling great when I was winning yesterday. Not gonna say where this puts me financially but will say that I literally had the time of my life this trip.

My 6-day trip turned into a 28-day vacation which ended up being the best time of my life. I ate at super-luxury restaurants, saw tons of shows and attractions, met Kathy Griffin, made friends, enjoyed amazing accommodations, got driven in limos and Escalades, had super fun at the tables, was pampered and taken care of like a princess. I was very sad to leave.
OFFICIALLY and justifiably reclaimed my title as SuperHotBlonde!

I watched her play blackjack last week and I can promise you this, there was no advantage play! I even ran down a few shoes, including the Mirage DD game, and trust me, they didn't wong out the highly negative one!
DUHHIIIIIIIII HEARD THAT!

+$50k and everything comped!

seems to me Hotblonde should claim it is a secret strategy and start charging money for people to watch!
the next time Dame Fortune toys with your heart, your soul and your wallet, raise your glass and praise her thus: “Thanks for nothing, you cold-hearted, evil, damnable, nefarious, low-life, malicious monster from Hell!”   She is, after all, stone deaf. ... Arnold Snyder

"I won 50k TODAY"

After a 28 days comped in Vegas. The real question is what the final results were.

Was there a credit line involved?

Did the casino offer any thing in the way of free bets, rebates, free play shopping or anything other than standard comps?

Congrats on the the 50k! I always hated that drive home from Vegas, sad to be leaving, already planning my next trip. Probably why I moved here :)

I would have loved to watch you play. It would have made for a fun work day.
