I accidently pressed the icon for promo chips instead of slot play.
it was only $15 so I didn't care that much.

with the slot play I was going to play 98% DW.

with the promo chips, I put it on Don't Pass/max odds.
I won. I only got paid $15 for the win on the Don't pass, and the dealer took the promo chips.
He paid the correct amount for the odds.

Isnt free slot play the same?
$1 machine is $5 per spin for VP.
You hit trips in DW. You get your $5 back.

How is slotplay better than promo chips?

Note:
Casino used to convert the promo chips to cash PLUS pay me for the win on the Don't Pass line.
but that was changed last year to this new awful method. :(
Craps is paradise (Pair of dice). Lets hear it for the SpeedCount Mathletes :)

Pretend you have a $10 promo chip that can be used on a coin flip (no house edge).

Heads (50%) you win $10
Tails (50%) you win $0

So the promo chip is worth $5.

In reality, it's worse, since you can't play it on a game with no house edge.

On the free slot play, when you play through the $10 your expected return is $9.80. You don't lose the value of the freeplay, if you did then trips on DW would return 0.
