DG is always trying to find an identity and is always hiring new people to run the gaming operation. I get calls all the time from different hosts asking me to come back and asking what they can do to get me back. When I mention matching my offers at other LV casinos, they will not commit to those numbers. I like the location and the hotel but the casino is small and they really don't have a lot to offer in good value games.
If any members get a chance to ask in person how it works I would appreciate it.

Seconded, will be there in a couple of weeks. I come back often enough that I can meet most pick up requirements unless it's something absurd like Revel.
Quote: ck1313I just signed up for this last weekend. You get 24 hours of play when your 24 hours is up they will give you 50% of your losses back in free play right away then after a month they'll give you 25% back and then a month after that you'll get the remaining 25% back.
Does that second installment only last a month? Third installment only last a month too? i.e. If you show up 6 months later after you used the next day 50%, what happens? You don't get any of the 50%? Just 25% of it? All 50% of it?

Thirded. I'll be there next week for/before the meetup =). Can anyone confirm?
The girl said you have 24 hrs to lose. After 24 hrs, but within the next 24, you must return to the players club and they load the first 50% of your losses in free play. Then you have 24 hrs to collect the first 50% of any losses, She was was adamant about that. Then they send something in the mail she said.
Im not sure if all this information is correct because I won, but it sounds convoluted.
I specifically asked her, what if I lose my 1k really quick, can I come back and have it loaded? she said, no. Someone should try it anyways

Max bet on Family Guy?
Quote: RogerKintMax bet on Family Guy?
I would if they had it (and was still promo eligible...bah). I missed seeing it there though. I actually meant to play it in Vegas this last trip, but beer and video poker seemed to get in the way. I can't name a casino outside of Vegas that even has Family Guy anymore. I don't think it ever even made it to St. Louis.
Wait no it's not :(
they didn't have family guy )-; Not that I would have played that anyways. The max bet isn't high enough. They do haveQuote: RogerKintMax bet on Family Guy?
Bat Man & The Flintstones but the max bet is low. A friend wanted wanted to play lower denominations slos so I got to sweat a his action on Batman.
I'm rethinking how I approached the promotion. I still have until tonight to go back... doubt I will. Ill probably just lock up a profit, saves me the headache of returning 3 more times.
My GF doesn't have a card yet, so I'm going have her try something different.
"Someone" I know already has a card there. "He" probably looked like this once he found out about the LR https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5312/7066766269_8e6c38ed2a_z.jpgQuote: Perdition1000 dollar loss rebate is more fun than a box of cats!

Quote: AxelWolfIts REEL AND VIDEO SLOTS ONLY,no table games, keno or VP. There are blue stickers saying, this machine is excluded from rebate promotion. They are on just about every game that's not a slot.

Do you have to run the free play rebate through once to cash it or can you pull it out immediately?
Diamonds, daisies, snowflakes . . .Quote: RogerKintMax bet on Family Guy?

Sadly I've played that one too.
Lesson learned.Quote: sabreScrew these stupid casinos that give you a crappy T-shirt or something when you signup, then months later change it to a $1,000 loss rebate for "new players only".
My machine knowledge is very limited. I might be a 2nd grader when it comes to machines.
Is the goal to take the loss? Is there a way to lose and get lucky at the same time?
Or is the advantage that you get to take a free $1000 shot at winning a session?
I do know how to convert free play into actual dollars with minimal loss. I am assuming the loss rebate would come in the form of free play that you have to cycle once.
Quote: kenarmanThe LV Review Journal in an article today said the rebate schedule is different for out of state players. They didn't have the details in the article. Anybody know?
I''m pretty sure the the promo person said in 24 hours everyone get 50% back. and then for out of staters they can come back in 3 months for 25%. I forgot about the last 25%. I'm a bad listener, wasn't really paying attention. I can ask tomorrow when I come back for rebate.
This is gunna be fun, I never played slots before.

completely agree!
luckily for me I didn't sign up any downtown casino

When I first moved to Vegas my first "home" was Sam's Town, so naturally I signed up for every card in every casino on Boulder Hwy. It was a huge mistake which cost me $500 or so in the future when a promotion reared its head.
I did worse though, I signed up for a Palms card when they had a $1000 loss rebate, along with play 10k coin in and get $100 or 200 in freeplay within the first 24 hours. I didn't know what the hell a loss rebate was so I just played 1/2c 9/6 jacks 100 play, and didn't even know about the table games rebate neither.
So what do I do now? Just stop? I never even got to use the rebate. Sunday is 8x points, I thought it would be fun to play through that. Can I set a higher win goal? Maybe in the process I will generate a lot of points to use for free play. Or maybe I should call it quits while I'm ahead?
Quote: AvincowOk looks like I won. According Wizards slot loss rebate page, I have way more units than win goal. I assume that the return is 85% and I am doing half kelly.

Bump. Advice please. My 24 hours is almost up. My gut says to walk away, but if there's any knowledgable machine players who have an argument for keep playing, I'm open to advice. Thanks :)
How much money are you up? How valuable is you're time? REMEMBER if you lose you have to come back 3 times (I think) then you have to run free play.Quote: AvincowBump. Advice please. Thanks for responding, I was hoping someone like you would respond. I'm up about $700. So I don't know if I can do much better than that really. I know nothing about slots, so I figured I ask just to be sure. I come back to Vegas about every 2-3 months. So maybe I can reclaim the free play maybe not. Never know with work. Let's assume worst case I only claim 75% loss rebate total.

If it were me, I think I would cash out up $ 700. But easy for me to say that from my easy chair at home. Maybe set a lower limit, ie, cash out if you get down to only $ 500 up.

If youre out of state, quit. Like axel points out, losing obligates you to come back.
this is what you should do if your up $700 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlvsdRqxmJkQuote: AvincowThanks for responding, I was hoping someone like you would respond. I'm up about $700. Can't wait until there's another slot loss promo going on
For locals- 1st 50% of rebate available available in 24 hours and nust be claimed within 24 hour window. Must be claimed at desk.
2nd rebate applied to card 25% the 2nd Monday following the 24 hours from the first rebate and valid 7 days. Auto applied to card.
3rd rebate available 3rd Monday following the 24 hours from first rebate and valid for 7 days. Auto applied to card.
Non-Locals- 1st 50% of rebate same as for locals.
2nd rebate of 25% will be available first calendar day of the next month. Good for 3 months.
3rd rebate of 25% will be available first calendar day of the 4th month. Good for 8 months.
All participants must redeem first rebate to get the 2nd and 3rd.
Here's where it gets sketchy for non-locals. 2nd and 3rd rebates are redeemable at players desk. THEY ARE NOT AUTO LOADED. Must be claimed in person.
You may also receive a ROOM OFFER. Participants with a room offer MUST book under that offer TO RECEIVE rebate.
To qualify as a local you must have an address within 50 miles of DowntownGrand.
They will also tell you at the desk, all machines except video poker are eligible. The video poker machines throughout are marked clearly not eligible. However, they do not tell you that any machine with a progressive attached is not eligible either. These machines are not marked as ineligible.
Alot of sketchiness with this promotion in my opinion. Definitely worth delving into the details as it could save some heartache later. Fortunately, I got lucky as my wife has been playing all day on like 300 never going over +500. Since I didn't specify except avoid video poker she was hitting the Ghostbusters, Flintstones, Batman, etc. you name it she was hitting it. She earned a decent 6 figure point rewards before I thought to ask about that detail. Could have been disastrous if it went the other way.

Both unfortunate, but I can use the room offer to build history with a downtown casino. With video poker not eligible, what is the smartest route? Is there any extremely bad VP available... or maybe a low variance slot to claim your rebate? I feel like if you are willing to just hit a button for a few hours, playing 40-50 credits on a penny slot might get you back 80-85% dependably.
Also, what do the high limit slots look like? Is it really all machines? I can answer these next weekend.

I'm not sure what the smartest route is. There are around 8 slots in the high limit area eligible to play along with one line of VP not eligible. The highest denom per pull available is $250 total when all lines are max bet. Haven't had to claim a rebate yet. It is my understanding the free play can be used on video poker but not progressives. Good luck next weekend.
I went and lost 1k around 6 PM. I was told I'd have to come back after 24 hours to get the first part of it. The 50/25/25 split was well known to me already and was something the players club people mentioned. Anyway I called the next day and asked if I had to come in after 24 hours but before a certain time and they said yes -- I had to come in before midnight. So I had exactly a 6 hour window to pick up the first 500. Yes, it worked fine on VP.
The players club person looked at my account and said the next 25% would be available from June to August and the rest would be available from September to April -- both auto-loaded on my card. The auto-loading sounds like local, but that time frame sounds like non-local. Guess I'll be giving them a call...
Quote: IbeatyouracesThese loss rebates are a joke. I haven't heard of one person who had come out significantly ahead while using one. And don't mention Don Johnson. If you believe that's all he was using, I've got many N.Y. bridges for sale!
I came out ahead. I used the wizard's slot loss rebate page to approach this promotion. I came out above expectation. This promo is worth around a few hundred dollars. Of course no one is going to get rich off this. It's only $1000 rebate

I like your posts, but you are so far off on this one. From reading on here and learning from some of the best I have made money many times over on rebates. And without this help, I would have never made money. Sometimes it pays to listen and learn. But that attitude keeps casinos offering them, so it's better if most keep that opinion.
