That's putting it mildly.

You can't unring a bell.

You can't take back something you said.

And you can't delete something you posted when somebody else quoted it.

The Video Poker Tinfoil Hat Brigade at its very finest. Imagine sitting there deleting all 5,900 of your own posts. LOL. The VP crowd at times are too paranoid over nothing. Would be quite interesting in understanding how a "good" VP player operates and his/her thought process since many are bat crazy secretive about almost anything and everything with a very defensive attitude to boot.

That is two for the body count. Axiom and Ibeatyouraces.

I still say there should be a short time period that a post can be edited or deleted. There's another famous culprit who is on a self ban right now that edits his posts just after a few people have seen them but before Mod's would have a chance to see them. Sometimes it gets caught in the quote of a reply, but most of the time not.

I think he wants to share but not forever and deletes once time has passed. He'll probably say the same thing then delete it.

If you're good and could delete 5 a
minute, that's still 20 hours of deleting.

though. A little too tightly wound, I would

One thing Facebook does that I like is it lets you edit your posts, but it keeps your Edit History available for everyone to see.

You know it would take all of 10-15 minutes to write a script to go through and delete them all, right?

I've been surprised at how naive people. The wizards sites are not encrypted and neither is this forum. Everything is sent in the clear.

When the forum first launched, I had implemented it with a one-hour time limit within which someone could edit their posts. After some discussion with Wizard, we removed the time limit so that anyone could edit their own posts at any time. I think removing the one-hour limit has proven useful for threads like Casino Chip of the Day where the first post in the thread is (or was, or needed to be) updated frequently.

Chip Of The Day is a good example. Another good example, is when I recently edited a bunch of my old posts that had links for Rich Newman.
